How enthusiastic are you?

how are you all feeling about the 2013 seasons compared to those gone by?

i am hoping the new coach will reignite my enthusiasm once the season kicks off, however i've noticed over the past few seasons its been deteriorating. is it the game? is it the rules? is it the club? is it the staleness of the old coach? is it the love fest for out of form players simply because of their surname? is it the nrl administration? i cant pin point it, probably a combination of it all.

interested to hear what others are feeling about it

After being a tad over-excited before the beginning of last season, I'm keeping my enthusiasm in check this time around. That said, I am looking forward to seeing what the team can do under a new coach after so long. I think I would be totally disinterested if Sheens was still in charge. Hoping the change will be a new lease of life for the team and really praying that injuries won't be a major issue for once!

Just hoping to see the start of the changes that will be required to turn this club round

We will be a long term project imo

Probably not overly excited about our 2013 chances with our current roster

How excited? Majorly. Even a decade ago when it seemed like we were spoon contenders every single year I would be itching for the footy to start.

Looking forward to the season, the Tiges are an unknown entity for mine - not overly excited by them but certainly looking forward to the footy, with so many sides strengthening and a few rule changes, it should be awesome.

There's always something that keeps me excited during the off season. This year it's obviously the change in coach. Last year we were favourites, the year before that we came off a prelim-final finish…

Like happy said, we need to look at Potter as a 2-3 year project. I'm just as interested to see how he recruits this year and brings in for 2014.

My heart and head are sending me different vibes. I really think this year is all about laying the foundations for some very good years in the near future. I think this year is not so much about winning or loosing but how we adjust to Potters coaching. I just want to see defense that gets some respect and some real energy unlike last year.
I still think Potter has been given a handicap with some of the players he has inherited from 2012 and it is going to take at least another year for him to weed some players out

"Curious" is probably a more accurate word to describe my feelings.

yeah same, just very interested to see how they respond to a new coach and hoping they respond in a positive manner

Potter has his work cut out for him this year,he has a few players who he would not want and even worse he has 2 awful assistant coaches.Having said that i am confident that he will put the "right attitude" into the side 2013 will be a building year and i am eagerly looking forward to it

x3\. I really hope we see a marked improvement in defence and overall attitude and cohesion out on the field. We looked like headless chooks too often in 2012.

Very excited.
Not because we're guaranteed to do well but because things will finally be changing.
That said I actually have a feeling we will do pretty well.

I dont understand why we cant have a good year next year as we have almost the same team as this year only big loss was Gareth Ellis. I cant wait to see who we recruit for 2014 season.

After last season not very. I'll be taking it one week at a time. My excitement will build upon actual outcomes not hype or hope.

Yup. Despite the change in coach and such, I'll wait until the season starts to pan out before getting too enthusiastic. We've heard the same sound bites year in, year out only to be disappointed. Last year set a new low in disappointment.

Nonetheless, I will support the team no matter what.

Summer sport just doesn't cut it with me. I count the days until the footy starts. Regarding the Tigers - I think we will win early. (Maybe 5 of our first 7 games) in response to our usual early poor form. Then slump for 5-6 rounds and come home with a wet sail into the finals - bottom half of the 8\. This straight from my Christmas crystal ball.

This is the first year since we won the title that effort and attitude is far more important then results.

As a result going into the 2013 season highly enthusiastic

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the team responds to a new coach and what appears to be a bit of a new culture at the club. It doesn't matter where we finish next year it will be all about adjusting to changes for mine

I wonder what the big drama will be mid-season? 2011 we had the Gibbs/Fifita dilemma, this year we had similar problems and also the loss of Farah's mother. Hoping 2013 is a quiet year off the field for us
