How enthusiastic are you?

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the team responds to a new coach and what appears to be a bit of a new culture at the club. It doesn't matter where we finish next year it will be all about adjusting to changes for mine

I'm with you and also show pride in the Jersey and effort.

I hope we are not pre season favourites again.Let hope coach Potter can get all the players to work as a team early and find their rythum, again we have a good side on paper but remember their are a good few playmakers in this side this year which as I see it could be good.Sadly up here I don't get to see WT in action until late in the season when they play the Cowboys up here.So come on 2013 season….

I'm obviously biased but I think the 24-1 on offer for us is good value.

imo Sheens was an anchor in recent years we are now free of.

We sign Robbie early in the season we can win the comp from there.

I'm more excited then ever about next season. Potter looks all class now to see if the results follow

last year I thought we were a good chance to win. I was wrong.
this year I think we'll do ok. but I'm very excited about seeing some young prospects in both nrl and NYC.
really hoping to see more of tedessco , marika, sirrro and maybe see a little of santi, Lovett and a couple new comers. interested to see which if any of the young props steps up, 3 or 4 look capable.
the NYC team seems ludicrously strong and could go back to back. looking forward to the development of Rowe, noffa and Rudolf as well as the Balmain Sg ball halves. I suspect the back row of vela, Lovett and Santi to run amok.
there is plenty to excite me.

Im very keen and enthusiastic to see what the new coach has in store, Im NOT expecting too much, I hope I can be patient, I think we'll need to be patient…...we are witnessing a new chapter in the WTs book

I am enthusiastic to see them playing under a new coach. And hopefully seeing some players find the form that they appeared to be without in 2012.

just going to have to sit back and wait and see what unfolds.
a good blend of youth and experience.

I can't wait for the new season to start however I'm not too optimistic about our chances. We're still carrying the same issues as last year, ie. lack of depth in the front row & being unsettled in some key positions (fb, hb & 2nd row). The only real change is the coach, so hopefully potter can establish a winning culture/attitude as we definitely have enough potential to succeed!

I can see us doing extremely well with the added discipline being installed by the coach and a good chance for a top 8 finish.

As far as the young players Potter is sending the best to NSW cup just like most of the other teams do.
There is a big gap between the kids comp and NRL.

As long as Potter lets all know, performance, heart and teamwork is everything. If your not up to it, you go into NSW cup and I'll give someone that chapping at the bit a go. They have to win and own there spots, not take it for granted which i believe was the downfall of Sheens.

I'm expecting a season full of improvements in players attitudes. Hopefully this will show on the field with less errors, weak defense and dare I say it a passion. I'm expecting '13 to be a building season for the following 3-4 seasons…long story short top 8 will be great but a season of solid performances will suffice.

I am keen to see a better run with injury and players being able to play in their correct positions. Sheens did not hold players accountable for poor form but I am expecting Potter to do so.

We will be a smokey for the title and with the luck needed from previous years. In essence I can't wait for 2013.

Im very enthusiastic. Still a great roster with a LOT of talent coming through and a new coach and new direction.

I dont know what direction that is but the players we have are certainly capable.

Unlike the last few years there will very many players in our State Cup team with ability to perform well in first grade. This will create a sharp competition edge throughout the club and no first grade player will be able to think that he a mortgage on his position.

Will or can that really happen though Newtown?

For example, IF:

Blair puts in like he did in '12 will he recieve a public revving?
Moltzen refuses to put his body on the line will he get the axe?
Lawrence and Ayshford only give 70% like the did all year will they be broken up?
Galloway has his usual 2 month holiday during winter will he be forced to come back via the bench…or reggies if his replacement is doing well?
If Lote plays again, will he be hooked for constantly being out of position and having hands like feet?

These guys and others like Reddy had shockers of seasons in 2012 and did not deserve the royal treatments they were given at the selection table. I know Aysh got dropped and rightly so but others should have joined him.

How many games did Ayshford play last year at centre? They were broken up, mate.

And people need to adjust opinions to reality when it comes to just how many games Galloway actually plays each year.

Kilos had a chronic toe injury for years which has affected his mobility and ability to wind up, crucial for a prop….think I read recently though this has been sorted

Blake played 23 games last year and that was a lot considering his form. He is a funny sort of player…2009 gets club rookie of the year - 2010 starts like a busted and is threatened a quarter way through with the sack. Regains form and then some to finish the year very strongly (who can forget his game against roosters in the first semi when he gets out of his sick bed to run 100 meters with Carney on his back for the score?). Continues form into 2011 where he goes to another level and becomes a seriously threatening player. Has people talk him up as a potential bolter for SOO in 2012\. Becomes bigger and stronger and then.....nothing. 2012 was a write off for him.To be fair, he did come back stronger after his demotion but fair dinkum, does this kid need to be constantly threatened to play well?

Rowdy was no better, given his credentials and status in the game, I think he faired worse.

I do give big red a hard time as a player and he doesnt have as much time off as I suggested. But he doesnt seem to possess a huge motor and I believe we can get a lot more out of him.
