How could Lawrence fair worse than Ayshford when he was our best centre of 2012? Its no use saying Lawrence was worse just because the expectation was higher, thats not what is being discussed.

And Blake went out as a centre ~14 times for us in 2012.

Also checkout our win percentage when Galloway is not in the side. Its woeful. For a guy who doesn't posses a "huge motor" he seems to be a vital piece of our winning structure.

No LaT, the point we were discussing was that as our lower grades seem so strong, will tough decisions be made upon the replacement of top liners if their form warrants it.

I have heard the Galloway stat before and it can be easily explained. Sheens did not like employing props. Therefore when Gal who is a genuine prop forward is out injured, the replacement is many degrees the weaker player. The same exact stat could be produced if Woodsy spent a prolonged period of time out injured. That stat proves nothing more than we are short quality prop replacements…something a lot of us have mentioned for years now.

The failures of Lawrence and Ayshford in the centres can be somewhat attributed to the lack of consistency in the halves. It would be difficult for any centre to shine without structure and receiving good ball regularly.

The fact that they were both moved around didn't do their chances of improving any favours either.

Nailed it…. I see potter as more of a professional, as apposed to a mate... I'm feeling pretty good for the future, mostly because there are NO MORE EXCUSES. We have the team, we have the coach, time will tell it we have the heart.

Last year was a huge rollercoaster. The high injury levels and position switching throughout the year certainly played their part.

Here's what I'm looking forward to most in 2013 -

1\. Tigers under Potter (with a new attitude in defence hopefully)
2\. Benji playing with more space and time back at 5/8
3\. Tedesco and Sirro making full recoveries and showing us they will be a bigt part of our future
4\. Woodsy coming back and building on the advances he made in 2012\. I'm hoping he's even bigger and stronger this year with a similar workrate.
5\. Koroibete scoring some amazing long range tries!

Well if thats going to be the case we have to beat Manly at Blue Tongue Round 4 and Melbourne at AAMI in Round 5

We will turn a lot of heads if we can win those 2 games alone

Im more and more starting to like the Idea of Bwaiff in the team, Particuarly after hearing him speak on NRL Summertime - the idea of Anasta causing havoc around the edges is actually pretty exciting. Have someone like BMM working with him and look out…

How excited? Majorly. Even a decade ago when it seemed like we were spoon contenders every single year I would be itching for the footy to start.

Exactly! That's what all supporters do.

The season starts off good and you hope they can keep it together, or
The season starts awfully and you hope that the boys can knuckle down and get a few wins together.

Thats about the guts of it I suppose.

I'm thinking only one thing for this season, a low injury toll.

i haven't been enthusiastic for a season since 2009.the nrl product has been awful and i couldn't wait for the tv deal to be done so we could get back to playing real football.
so hopefully it now comes back.

as for the tigers,simply a clean slate for me with a new coach.same for the players.
