HOW GOOD IS DAVID FIFITA

If Fifita continues on his current trajectory he can write himself a blank cheque.

At least someone with the surname Fafita played well this weekend. Andrew Fafita was shocking last night.

And he’s only 20? There’s not many more devastating than David.

Which is why I’m surprised anyone would take Tedesco over him. Fifita’s just warming up and will be entering his prime when Tedesco retires.

I'll take Fifita then, Teddy now.

I would honestly go 12 mil 10 years . How could anyone compete with that . Especially with the cap exemptions for injuries suffered during the contract . He’s 30 when that’s over .

When David Fafita and Payne Haas were showing talent scouts how good they are at Keebra Park , we had punted our Keebra Park champ , and struggling with Jason Taylor and then Ivan Cleary.

Dark years, terrible scouting and poor player retention - Tedesco, Carr, Moses, Papenhuyzen, Koroibete and Taupau all lost.

I can only imagine how many Premierships we could have possibly won in the last 6 years if our back office had done their job.

Sheens was really big on fostering a strong relationship with Keebra Park High. What happened? Did we just stop bothering or was the responsibility officially handed to Broncos and Titans? So many good players coming through KP.

Three reasons - Potter, Taylor and Cleary. None of which focused on scouting or building fresh talent. All of them concentrated on burnt out first graders in order to get quick results. History shows that didn't work.

What I like about Madge is that he's starting to create a nice balance between experience and enthusiasm.

It astounds me that Potter still cops it in the neck. Everything was fine and we were sitting pretty, playing well finals bound until Brian Smith entered the frame. Potter copped a raw deal.
On Fifita, as much as I hate to say it, He won't leave the Broncos. He and his mates in their forward pack look to be totally committed to the cause up there. If only there was a chink in the armour but money doesn't appear to be it. The Broncos could very well go on to win numerous premierships in a row with what they've got going.

I agree Potter got a very raw deal from the club no doubt about that. The less said about JT the better and Cleary was a backstabber who had me completely fooled.
As far as the donkeys are concerned i feel they would sacrifice a coach or 2 before they would let any of their young forwards go

TBH with Fifita's try last weekend, he got through Esan's tackle attempt (plenty have done that), got past Hess I think it was (not a noted defender), outpaced Taumalolo (not exactly a speedster) and stepped Holmes (whose defence is very questionable). Good try but the sum of it's parts are what they are. Would be a massive call throwing 10 million $$/10 year contract at him IMO. Good player but all this talk of him being better than Tallis etc is a bit prematurely over the top IMO.

It wasn't only that try he's done it before exceptional speed and agility for a big man

Plenty have beaten Esan 40 out from their own line and run 60m, stepping the fullback? Backrowers to boot? Going to need some examples here.

Lol yea Esans defence is rubbish, but no one is doing that. They’re still first graders ,it’s not like he was running at u12s. He’s done that like 5 times from memory . Maybe not scored every time, but Jesus he’s a good player. 10 mil 10 years would be worth it IMO . What’s the worse case scenario ? If he gets injured you medically retire him , or if he loses form , someone will pick that contract up.
I don’t see the negativity .

Show me a season with those performances as the norm and I'm interested ...but I think we might be a season or 2 away from that

If you look at our side what we benefit most from right now ......speed .....has to be Tedesco at the moment

Exactly. But it just the way Wests tigers and us fans think. Buy for 2 years down the track and never for this season.

He's had a few good games but nowhere as consistent and a proven match winner like Tedesco.
Fafita and Haas didn't look like million dollar players in their previous game where they got flogged 58-0 by Parra.

tedesco in a heart beat

fifita is too young, too in and out

how about jason taumalolo though. just an absolute beast- every run, every tackle.

he was a gun coming through keebra. Arguably the best forward i have ever seen in junior level. His speed for his size is phenomenal.

He could easily double at any position in the backline (except FB) or even a tight end.
