How impressed by Woods I am this season

Was just reading a few stats and noticed defensively he has made the 2nd most tackles of any prop in the NRL (Nate Myles is 1st )

When you think of the players he is ahead of , his age and the amount of quality hit ups he adds to that every week I personally can 't believe how much he has developed in the off season

I reckon he could be a real shot at a bench start for SOO this year Stuart rates him very highly as well

If we can keep Woods and Keefy on the field for the rest of the season and playing well for the rest of the season we are still a shot

They are going to make or break us imo

Big pressure for a young fella but I think he can handle it with ease

What are your thoughts ??

Been playing very well. With Galloway back now, we have a very good starting front row. Moors, BMM and Cashmere provide a decent rotation as well.

Especially good when you consider Myles has played back row in a few of those games for 80 minutes

yep Woods is having a great year

too many penalties earlier in the season but seems to have reigned that in now

makes a few extra metres every hit up, I haven't seen him pushed backwards yet! (ok maybe I have but can't remember it)

The best thing about Woods is the long minutes he plays, and the extra minutes don't seem to impact negatively on his performance. His engine is extraordinary for such a young prop.

best young prop in the game and better than most of the older ones too.
he will be something very special.

I am a big fan of his and have thought for some time he has a good footy brain (apart from those penalties he was giving away by pushing the envelope a bit too hard).

One criticism I still have is his lateral movement and urgency when defending close to the line. This could be a lot better and would change him from being a close bystander of tries being scored to help stopping those tries.

But geez, he's going well for a young bloke, more power to him!

awesome kid… has a bright future ahead of him. He isnt ready for Rep Footy yet, so I hope he isnt rushed into anything for another 12 months so he can build and learn his trade.

Will probably end up as one of the few 80 minute Props in the game in a few years. That will be a great accomplishment and I cant wait to watch him grow.

Go Woodsie!!!

He has been one of our shining lights so far this season. Hope he keeps it up for the rest of the year and for many years to come… (just as long as he is playing for us, anyway!)

Great young prop.

Our best player this year and only shining light in a very poor start to season.

Hope he has been signed up long term and is looked after by the club.

Will play higher honours in the future.

I disagree regarding rep footy Watto. He'd easily handle playing for City this year.

I wouldnt like him to play SOO yet but to taste a city game would be good for his development the way he is going this year… been the best player in a tigers jersey thhis year!!

AGREED BEST PLAYER THIS SEASON BY A COUNTRY MILE !!!!

The rest of them need to back him up when he runs - he has made a couple of half breaks and has had the opportunity to offload

Not so good early on but he is looking better and better as each week goes by. He's even starting to look Origin material, possibly even in the next year or two you could see him in a sky blue jumper.

@hybrid_tiger How good would it be to have Mini hanging off him?
