How is Miller feeling

I wonder how he feels. A 18 year old is being considered to play ahead of him. Must feel like crap with 3 injured halves and he still might not play.

If he has done nothing wrong he will be gutted being overlooked but if he is guilty of something that is trigger for him not being considered then he would swallow the bitter pill knowing why he wont be there.

I dont think his form was bad enough for him to be shunted like this and another 18 year be considered over him.

There has to be more to the snubbing of Miller than his form with the first grade side, which in reality wasn't so bad that he had to be unceremoniously dumped. When Potter first came here he publicly stated his that he liked what he saw in Miller and he seemed determined to give him every chance to make the halfback position his own. So after only 4 matches (2 in which he played quite well) I find it hard to believe that Miller is all of a sudden completely out of favour to the point that it looks like he will not even be recalled to first grade during a massive injury crisis. No, there has to be something Miller has done, off the field, to put himself offside with Potter. I wonder if it's the same problem that caused Sheens to never give him a real chance, also.

Potter is sticking true to his word that he thinks Miller needs confidence in reserve grade. I'm glad for the sake of my own faith in Potter he hasn't been recalled yet.

The fact we are now in a problematic situation may require the promotion but its also not good for Miller to be promoted just for a week then be dropped again if Benji doesn't play this week.
Which would be worse?
He hasn't been dominating NSW cup according to what Potter has been told so its not a good message to be promoted anyway.
Tough position for Potter because there is a big question mark over Brooks too.

Another player who could be lost to another club. Great management.

How so???he isn't cutting it. No loss if he goes.

For mine Moltzen hasn't cut it for 2 years and you want the club to re-sign him on 150K.

Double standards.

I imagine and I hope Miller sees it the same way but in order for him to return to first grade, he needs to improve. He needs to work harder in order to improve. I've been impressed by Potter's stance with Miller. He's given him an opportunity. He's then dropped him, not so much criticised him but told him what he's to work on. Look I suspect this week Benji will be named regardless of his chances of playing. It will either be to shield pressure from Brooks if he is to play OR to challenge Miller to knuckle down and earn his spot this weekend.

Maybe

But we know Moltz can play well
Moltz also has a full knee reco that a player can take 18months to get back to being 100%
And this year is showing alot more and was one of our better players.

Miller I just don't think will click. I just don't rate him. But that's just my opinion.

Clearly there has been a non related playing issue with Miller. I suggest he has probably signed with another club and is moving on…..so he isn't being selected.

but then I'm synical.

hi first time post i am a hull fc fan from england we were supposedly about to sign jacob miller (then scott prince said he wanted to come before signing for the broncos) then mick potter said he wanted to look at miller before deciding whether to let him go,since then he has hardly had a game despite all your injuries has he gone that bad or is there another reason for not playing him

This is a good learning curve for Potter… He had options when he chose to send Miller back to Reggies, but now he is starting to look stupid!

I doubt that there is a non related playing issue. I think it is probably this:-

Personally I'm not writing Miller off. He definitely hasn't been bad. I think he needs to do more though to get another shot.

IF and I say if Miller gets another Crack, And DOESN'T stand up…
Then what?
Surely the kick in the guts of being dropped etc, Is enough to get some fire in the
belly....
I hope he gets another run, He's been around long enough to have earned that....
But if he gets another shot and goes missing in the game (Like those last 2) then It's
possibly better just to move on....
