How is Miller feeling

@howard brown

Welcome. A lot of mixed opinions on Miller. I for one, and have said this a few times, there's more than his playing ability thats stopping him from cracking it fulltime in FG. The kid can play, no many people will question that. But there's an attitude thing, that not only limits him from digging in at times, but there also seems to be some resilience between him and certain senior players. As a half back your main job is to direct the rest of the team around. If the traffic doesnt like the cop directing, then theirs not going to be a lot of listening and a lot of crashes.

If the issue is a lack of support from senior players, then I don't believe we'll see Miller named this week. It would be a poor call by Potter otherwise. I'd believe there'd be more chance of Farah being moved to 7 if this is the case. I believe Miller is our best option available so therefore will be named. It'll be up to him to step it up warrant his selection. The pressure is now on because he's running out of chances. His future now hinges on the now.

The only time I have seen us look good with Miller has been in the side was when Miller played out of dummy half and with Farah playing first reciever role and Marshall playing at 6

Again I'm not suggesting that Farah should be in the 7 jersey but we did look good that particular night in the 2nd half

IN my mind Miller is a pretty good player, and I think he will carve out a career in either the NRL or ESL, but will be one of those blokes just short of being an automatic selection and will get moved around a bit.
Unfortunately he does not suit us, his asset is that he comes up with big plays and is a bit of a creator, which is great, but he also drifts in and out of games and isn't such an organiser, we need the revers at the moment with what we have,
He'd be a great foil for a SOward, Robson, wallace or walsh, he would add the bit extra they need, while they do their thing with out the flash. Benji would do well with that style player inside him as well.

But given what we are left with, I think we should play him this week and let the kid develop in NYC.

to be honest,i'm sick and tired of the senior players and their bs.

Who says that this is true though. I mean it all sounds like a load of palava to me. Potter is the coach and he chooses the team. Same as Sheens.

If the coach can't make the call then they should get a new coach.

Another player who could be lost to another club. Great management.

How so???he isn't cutting it. No loss if he goes.

For mine Moltzen hasn't cut it for 2 years and you want the club to re-sign him on 150K.

Double standards.

Maybe

But we know Moltz can play well
Moltz also has a full knee reco that a player can take 18months to get back to being 100%
And this year is showing alot more and was one of our better players.

Miller I just don't think will click. I just don't rate him. But that's just my opinion.

Moltzen one of our better players???

Tune in John McEnroe, " you have got to be kidding "

PS. Potter has confirmed that Miller will be the halfback this week.

my thoughts are both on and off the field.
players like payten would coach newcomers, you would often see him moving players a yard or so to the side in attack or adjust their depth.
everything seems individual and when the going gets tough not enough are putting their hand up as senior leaders.

Maybe he will go good at halfback the next 2 weeks if he has sirro next to him because they have played together before in the 20's and maybe he finds it hard to find his voice when benji is his partner

Miller will be playing half, they mentioned that the tigers are going over the second tier salary cap if we use Brooks as we have already used, I think it said 25 players already. Looks like miller wins by default. Hope he makes the best of this opprotunity. if he doesn't kill it or look promising in the next 2 games, I'd say he will be back to reggies for the rest of 2013, unless injuries hit again. Come on Miller, pull your finger out!!!!

He'd probably be gloating knowing that MP had no choice but to play him

I wish him all the best on the field and hope he can help us get the 2 points

Another failure on friday and we will be creating a lot more pages on this forum in his Honour

Yeah me too! What the hell is wrong with them? Why can't they just support the guy and give him a go for the sake of the team? They all seemed to be behind Potter's decision to start Miller at half at the beginning of the season, so what has changed so suddenly?

Lol nothing would surprise me, pHyR3

I just read an article where Blair has stated that he supports the return of Miller and has vowed to help him out and be his minder on Friday night. Now there's the bloke you want helping you out on the field :unamused: . Oh well, good on him for saying so, let's hope he actually comes through on this promise for the sake of the team.

The fact is Farah would be our best 9, 6 and 7 right now. Miller needs to be a dominant player, not a mouse. He needs to demand the ball every set and create plays himself, let's see how he go's.

If he is still like a mouse he won't be back
