How to face the sharks?

Be positive and believe in your self. If you go into the match that you will be world beaters, you will do it. Be well prepared and play for each other with your team mates.Play as if it is your last game, scamble well as this is a very important aspect in winning football games. We have some very good experienced guys and some star new comers, together they will be able to do it. The sharks are another obstacles on the way.

They need to just defend as well as they did against the Storm

It worked!

They just need to play direct and straight, that is why we are winning games.

The rain sees the side put the side to side stuff away and we play through the middle. They go wide much more selectively than under dry conditions. Whenever we have played straight and direct, we have been competitive. It was the case earlier in the season when they lost to St. George at the SCG by a point when they were the better team - the best they played in that match was by going through the middle.

Wests never mastered this under Sheens. Perhaps Potter, with the assistance of the weather, has got the message through, although the memory of the Broncos match still rings for me.

I heard someone on ABC radio last night saying that that's exactly how they are approaching, or have been approaching games. Coulda been Aysh.

Also, heard Teddy saying he's still got a few niggling injuries AND that he's still recovering from the knee op. Which is confirming what many suspected, hope he's 100% after the bye.

He said he pulled up well so hopefully we can have a good go at the Sharks. A big win would get us back in the hunt for sure

Is anyone else bothered about that? We're talking about a young player recovering from an incredibly serious injury, in a season which realistically isn't going to amount to anything. If he reinjures himself because he's playing when not fully recovered whoever made the decision to send him out there will have a lot to answer for.

Take the Sharks up the guts and around the ruck. Break there spirit there and the game is all but won

Ye of little faith 2041!

Go in with the same intent as we did against Storm .
That will shred plenty of teams if we play the same way.

Not sure if anyone else noticed but Benji did very little kicking which worked out perfect for us.
He only tried to find the line and did so at the right times.

Is this some sort of a horoscope? Sounds a bit like something out of the Woman's Weekly. Anyway, I get what you mean - a positive attitude will take you a long way in this competition.

Thursday will be a lucky day; buy a lottery ticket! Saturday will be auspicious for love interests when someone new may come into your life (maybe a footy player!), trust your team mates and be kind to animals, opposition players may suffer self doubt on Friday but try not to take advantage of them. Your coach may disagree with this.

Wont matter we will smash them next week and it will be a 4 pointer for us to lets charge up to the top 8\. And btw how crap were they today they are crap in defence we should find heaps of holes hopfully next week.

Last night WTs forwards gave it to the storm forwards early and set the platform for the go forward and kickiing game so the win was set on very aggressive defense it was great to watch. Our kicking game was great while at the same time the storm kicking game was on the back foot and our back three defused most of thier kicks with great catches in often difficult conditions. The weather assisted our game and it won't be the same against the sharks however the same aggressive defense along with another careful kicking game and being prepared to run straight with tip offs should test the sharks defense. Gallen will be a big loss for them and our blokes need to take advantage of that through controlled aggression in defense and attack. Last time we played them Jesse Sue peppered Carney when he kicked in general play that is needed again.

Don't think we're invincible now because we beat the Storm and the Sharks got it handed to them by the team coming second last.

Can't wait to see Simona run rings around Slow Ryan

After what i saw last night, i would say Carney would be number one target. His defence is shocking and it seemed his confidence is down a bit.Anyone that thinks he could replace Maloney on his current form is dreaming.

defensively we need to really concentrate on good line speed and try and limit the effectiveness of blokes like Fifita ,Bukuya,Graham

I would be sending a lot of traffic at Carney and try isolate him 1 on 1 with our big forwards particularly Sue and BMM

We have the advantage out wide I believe and that's where we can win the game if we match them in the pigs
