How to fix this mess?

the boys are in trouble. is it the coach? is it the line up? is it just our turn for the wooden spoon? it could be all of those things but if your reading this mr potter please consider this….

1\. adam blair should be dropped.
2\. you need to pick a halves combo and stick with it. all year. the 4 games poor miller had is hardly a confidence builder. it took sandow all year last year to start clicking. a bit of faith.
3\. benji is a halfback so naturally we need to either blood a five- eighth or buy one. sell blair and moltzen and retire tuquri and we could easily buy a reynolds or sam williams. i would rather bring up this brooks kid but your the coach.
4\. siro is a lock.
5\. utai is too built for a winger. would make an awesome centre but i think forwards is his spot. impact forward to be precise.
6\. all kicks on the full should result in 2 hours extra training. we are the only team that always kicks on the bloody full. what is with that.

i feel for farah and woods they give it them all

oh and if your telling us marshall was fit then give him a kick up the backside as friday night was shocking.

mate, i know your new but its a results business and you dont want to be the first coach to deliver a wooden spoon to the tigers.

1\. Yes
2\. Stick with a halves combo? Every guy we throw in there ends up in the hospital within a few days except for miller who gave us nothing. Good op dropping him.
3\. not even gonna bother with the whole benji is a 7 again
4\. Maybe, but he needs time to learn it and this would probably go against no. 2?
5\. We have a tonne of impact forwards. Unless you're suggesting he play prop
6\. Yep.

It is not just about picking a halves combination, it is also about how they play them. They need to actually play them next to each other rather than on either side of the ruck. The tigers have no attacking cohesion in attack because the halves get the ball and never have anyone outside them to continue the movement. This creates sloppy play from forwards who are trying to do more than they are capable of with their passing.

I really think that Potter should spend many hours every day this week training the team for a cohesive backline and smart attacking forward plays. Potter has not yet put his foot down on the pedal and has a lot of work to gain any respect for his coaching skills. He cannot waste any more time. Any spare still available must be spent with a competent defensive coach drilling the whole team on the skills of defensive teamwork which at least meets the standard of NRL 2013.

1\. = Yep. He has had a buttload of chances.
2\. = Yep. Infact I believe if Miller hadnt been dropped a month and a half back we would not be on the bottom of the ladder and would be starting to play with some sort of cohesion in attack.
3\. = Wrong. Benji is not, never has been and never will be a halfback.
4\. = I see no evidence to prove this but am open to give it a try.
5\. = Dont agree. Utai is either on the wing or left right out. Not sure what you mean when you say he is 'too built to play wing'. There are plenty of wingers bigger than him currently across all sides.
6\. = Yep. Our kicking - in all facets - has always been an achillies heel.

Throw out the 300 video sessions for this week. Forget defence for this week.
Get out there and practice….. Attack Attack Attack..that is what this team is built on.

Practice catching bombs and practice players giving protection to the catches and if you have time practice kicking the ball out from a Penalty.

all very goods points guys.. just on the marshall at half back comment i just want to add that this year he plays like a half back rather then takin the line on and running. he's more pass and set up. its a shame as like all tigers fans we wanna see benji back to playing his natural game at 5/8 but its a bit moot when he plays like a number 7\. im not sure whats with benji this year but its not his year. maybe he misses sheens, ryan and chris or maybe he needs to eliminate his media committments. ok so he lost his nz captaincy. its a kick in the guts but marshall should take a page out of farahs book. when farah was dropped after a game or 2 in origin (for god knows what reason) he picked himself up and played his ass off. a real champion and now an origin main stay.

what actually worries me and i dont know about you guys is origin time. if we happen to lose woods along with farah i see big losses ahead.

wheres the magic, potter?… where is it!!!!!

Injuries are a big issue with our halves, you can't deny that. Everyone who puts on the 6 jumper ends up in hospital (or is it the 7?)

It seems to me that what we are headed to is Anasta and Marshall in the halves, beginning whenever they are both fit. Round 12? Or do we have a bye? They have bags of experience but zero relationship. They will play left and right and if they stay fit for the remainder of the season we will Win more games than we lose and are still a chance of sneaking into the eight!

how to fix this mess?

that's easy - beat Souths & slam the Burgess brothers.
Then all the pain will go away.
We'll be back on track.

^ I just looked at our schedule rounds upcoming. Realistically, we are only capable of beating the Panthers in Round 13, and Warriors in Round 19\. The rest I don't see us winning. This will be a season to forget, and I the only way of 'fixing' this mess is a mass exodus of players, and recruitment officers, sign some marquee players and change the culture of this club to a 'Bellamy-eske' club.

Have you seen those guys!!! Slamming them will not make the pain go away - it will make more pain come.

but yeah, i know what you're trying to say. If Penriff can beat the storm, maybe there's an inkling of hope for us. If all the planets aligned, the sun rose in the west, pigs learnt to fly and the souths bus broke down, then maybe, just maybe, we'll get a look in. maybe.

Potter to send a clear message to all players and drop Blair and Marshall.

Work on attack over and over again.

Time to blood all promising youngster with a view for 2014.

Clear out all non performing players and support staff and rebuild and free up money.

Settle on a 1, 6, 7 & 9 and build a team around that.

Especially the 7 …. apart from Scott Prince, we've never had a real quality half back since we started 13 years ago.

Put Fulton at 6\. He's not the fastest but he can read the numbers and draw defenders to get a good short or long ball away. Can run at the line, not a bad kicker and is strong defensively. But most importantly he knows Benji and Robbies game. We need some experience in the halves atm because we look dumb founded in the attacking zone (apart from Farah).

that hasnt really worked in the past. fulton is a much better 2nd row player. we need a fulltime answer. either blood a newbie or buy a established one!

i think its true were looking at a season of hell but we can use this season to as you guys suggested by blooding new talent, dumping under performers and building on a winning foundation.

Going on indications so far this season I don't think that any of those points are likely to happen.

yeah as much as we all like i agree. but hopefully if enough fans vent they have to listen. crowd figures can sway heads….. were not ones for booing our boys but its now happening. dark days are ahead

His playing there now. I know he doesn't have the six on his back but his first second receiver when we are in the red zone.

Get out of the way Fulton.

lol its a wonder why tigers even have numbers on their jerseys. half the side pose as utility players. i love the tigers but cmon guys your getting paid a bunch… put pride back in the jersey
