How will the Top 8 finish

As much as this hurts coming up with a positive because I know it will slap me across the face tonight until I'm unconscious .....if we make the 8 at least we will be in some sort of form

@happy_tiger one thing is certain - it will NOT include the Warriors. Have you seen their draw? 😂😂😂😂

@happy_tiger just occurred to me that Newcastle don't have a good record judging players. Two they flicked under similar circumstances were BJ Leilua and Joseph Tapine. Would you accept those two?

Penrith play Broncos, Sharks & Knights in their final 6 rounds, there'll be some points stolen between the teams there.

Knights have a rough draw, Eels, Manly, Penrith and Easts along with Cowboys and Titans.

Sharks have a less difficult run but still have to play Penrith, Souths and Canberra.

**Broncos have the Storm, Penrith, Souths and Parra.**

We're still a chance, but I am not optimistic.

And the might of the corrupt NRL. Just watch Broncos get every call go their way over the next month.

Never seen it go any other way for them. They are the ultimate teflon team in the NRL.

Yeh the league will be fretting that no Queensland team will make the 8, they will try fix that up

the broncos on the odd number will help us they wont win all there remaining games so we should be a chance to get to 28 points
beat cowboys LO
lose to manly
beat dogs
beat newcastle
beat st george
beat sharks at a packed LO sunday afternoon robbie and benji to lift us into the finals in 8th spot

You have probably said in your last sentence may biggest fear. We are lifted into eighth place. The players high five and celebrate. 8th...8th let's say that again coming 8th...that is not an achievement to celebrate but I feel some will. 8th should be the minimum not an achievement

@kiwitiger yeah but we are so bad, 8th is a massive step up for us. Does 8th play 1st this year, or 5th? It's been so long since we made it, since I cared, I don't remember how it goes anymore.

Week 1 is
1 v 4
2 v 3
5 v 8
6 v 7

We'll finish 6th and play Parra (7th) at our home game Bankwest

What could go wrong,..

no brainer

I pegged Manly as our only danger game. They're the biggest hurdle between us and the 8. On paper.

But in saying that and going off the last 8 years I'm starting to think that the Dogs next week are our greatest challenge in making the 8. If this team is fair dinkum about playing finals footy they'll turn up and mop the dogs.

But I've seen us fall over so many times over the last 20 years at the final hurdle for the finals against a team well out of contention. It's all beyond us now, it's up to the lads on the field and how badly they want to play finals footy.

I think we’re better than a couple teams around us. I think our chances are better than the Warriors and Sharks. I think the Broncos make it, so do Parra (unfortunately). And the final spot comes down to us and the two I mentioned. The last round against the Sharks looks like a big game

The Dogs will be a thorn in the sides of a few teams I reckon, starting with Penrith this weekend. They’re playing better than their position on the ladder suggests and are capable of upsetting a higher placed team that might be slightly off their game on the day. We will need to focus for the full eighty against them.
