Humble to play halfback

Anyone calling miller hopless after last night is an idiot. Was coached not to play at first reciever(as it seems moltzen was aswell)wasnt the main kicking option and on top of that the team had no Possession. Pick a half back and stay with it,and let them play the role properly and take some pressure off benji(and the majority off the kicking dutys please)

Miller is young and maybe not going to be a first grade star but at the moment he hasnt been given a chance to show what he has.

You're spot on JOELCORE - everyones waiting for the classic halfback (DCE style) but unfortunately Mr Sheens won't let anybody who's been near halfback play that role.
Oddly enough he let Moltzen take a bit of the ball in the trials - but as soon as the real games began it was back to the Marshall show.
That may have well worked most times in the past but it's not so hot at the moment.

Miller is a future halfback for the west tigers…. It is all a matter of time look at lui . It will happen ! I want just as much as everyone else here a solution right now but it is not going to happen ....

Think about it lui should be our halfback this year but after his brain snap he is gooone . Now we are looking for a new halfback and they are big shoes to fill

I wasn't making my judgments on miller based on lastnight! I'm basing it on past couple of NYC seasons I have seen him play in!

This might be true. The point is that at the moment he doesn't look up to it. He also hasn't looked up to it whenever he has been given a chance. Maybe he isn't a quality first grader. Maybe he needs more time.

i don't post a lot i'm more of a listener. but in my eyes miller had more touches, talked more called for the ball more in half an hour then Moltz has all year. for a 19 year old kid who put his body on the line and made that one on one tackle on the raiders prop thats no mean feat. and on top of that he was the "Only" back BACKING UP he was the only bloke trying to put him self into holes. for my mind almost our best on field

Tim Sheens is in love with Tom Humble..(the new Fitzy)..he will never be dropped from the 17 again..I am pleased to see many more people are discovering what Tim Sheens does..he has been doing this since 2006 I can assure you.

I have had it with Wests Tigers with Stephen Humphries and his Balmainification of Wests Tigers..Tim Sheens, who will not leave..PLEASE GO !..and the people who decide who goes and stays..they are screwing it..

Hahahahhahahahahahhahahahahah tiger85 miller nearly best on the field… Ahhhhh that was a good one!

Tiger85 Moltzen was not the other bloke who played half lastnight, y r u comparing him to Moltzen, although just on that, Moltzen has made two of the best one on one tackles to save tries this year on gallen and creagh (spelling??), so millers defense does not make him stand out… In saying that I thought defensively miller made a good effort

because Moltzen has been half for the other 3 games. And yes you are right about those tackles, but miller is 19 was the smallest bloke out there and stopped perhaps the biggest. I just felt that young Miller played well in a poor side last night. Im not out on the park and wont bag how any one played but i stand by my first post.

1 - you're completely right
2 - you responded intelligently to a dumb comment.

Nice work
(but you probably don;t fit in here)

I think Humble is the man for the seven.

He did make some mistakes but he had a real hard go and looked creative with the ball.

I think Miller would still be there if he wasnt injured….

Both look works in progress, Humble looks a bit more mature, but I think Miller looks the sharper....if hes given time

If Lui wasn't a scumbag, this wouldn't happen. Lui was a brilliant half and fit in perfectly. I miss him already.

But he was a turnstile. He was -3men in defence, imagine how bad we would have been this year. Atleast our 3 halves can tackle.

Humble has been plenty better than some of our more seasoned players, so to call him the new Fitzy is a little harsh. Looked sharp at first receiver last night and was pretty good in the game against Cronulla. I attribute his lack of involvement against Manly and St. George to a directive for him not to get involved.

Your second paragraph is ridiculous in the extreme, what Humble playing at halfback has to do with Balmain is beyond me. Take that chip on your shoulder and barrow it over to the Magpies forum.

And I also have seen him play alot of nyc,and my posts before this game also said how his form this year didnt warrant a call up.But i have also seem do great things out there and lead his team around, and constantly make the right choices on the 5th tackle for his team.

His form for nyc which seems to be an attitude problem has no bearing on weather he can play half back for our first grade team at all,he was not and hasnt be given an oppourtunity to prove himself so i dont care less what you have seen in nyc.I want sheens to pick a halfback and give them the "role". He has not done that. Weather that is miller, humble or moltzen i dont mind at the momment, i just want a player to play "halfback" and not another 5/8 to play behind benjis calls.

the little I saw of Humble at half…I liked...I just hope someone stands up and makes the position their own...Moltzen failed...and although Miller has had limited chances, when he has been on he hasn't shown much at all....another Lazarus IMO..no impact
