I cannot understand how anyone who has followed the Wests Tigers, and whatever iteration prior to that, can walk away now?

I'm 36 this year, I have seen Balmain/Wests Tigers play finals 5 times in 31 seasons.

I think I worked out Wests fans of my vintage would have seen finals 6 times in the same time.

You may as well hang on at this point...

11 times in 50 years since about 1970
We're due 🤫

Don't give up on wests tigers.
Footy seasons are a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
One game, yes one game, eventually in a season they will win 25 to 18.

I remember chasing around my south sydney mates as they hid in the toilets at our local disco in 1969, never forget that night and later worked with Garry Leo in finance.i get very disappointed after each game i see them throw away , mainly due to lack of intelligence and youth BUT after my wife gives me a hit with the nine tails sunday night .I will be waiting patiently for team selections tuesday and looking forward to see them . Cant wait to see a win on friday and the young players develop by years end.

All good just sharing experiences that have made me a tigers supporter

It’s so hard cos we show up every second or third week. Wish we were just permanently a dumpster fire so I could follow this blokes lead.

I'm also 36. Sitting a few rows deep where Buckets scored against the broncs in the 05 semis, let alone the following weeks atmosphere when we rolled the steelers are memories that no amount of pain can replace.

As much as at times WT make me feel ill.
The thought of supporting any other team makes me feel worse.
The thought of the sort of programs my wife and daughter would have me watch if I didn't have minimun 4 days a week of rugby league makes me feel even sicker.

But most importantly my 9 yr old son loved his dad enough to become a suffering tigers fan. When his mates say why don't you go for someone good like the roosters or storm, I tell him to simply respond **black and gold never fold**.

Basically the sport is totally different, my club is dead and morphed, my home ground barely gets a game and when it does it feels like a dodgy rip off of what it once was (even though crowds were smaller), the jerseys look rubbish, the logo is some corporate American junk but there's just something about it that still means something more than the sport Itself. I'd give up if we moved to Perth or somewhere else but I'd never give up based on results. I'm not a roosters fan.

I read some Knights fans online saying they were giving the game away after their first loss to us this season. And I thought to myself, why now, after all those wooden spoons and actually playing finals in 2020, would they give it away after a single loss to the Tigers.

I can only suppose it got worse after they lost to us again.

I noticed a fan a few weeks ago went on a rant and switched to supporting Panthers....soft

Not sure what the point is. Penrith will be back in the pack in 2 years. Do people think them dominating is permanent?

It's just that some people think that us missing the 8 is permanent.

We'll turn it around one day, just can't say exactly when, but I'm pretty sure that it's not that far away.

Success is only ever fleeting. I don't believe that Melbourne will be thereabouts forever, nor will Easts. I mean, the Chooks have always had money and have had some rude years over the last couple of decades, despite winning premierships.

I can't see them coming off the boil for a few years yet

That spine is young and injury free for the most
