Pity that we were desperate enough to answer his begging,
All the other clubs missed a bullet.

WTF? The story is about his playing career 15 years ago

Different time , Same Begging, no one else wanted him this time either.

I think the whole gist of the article has gone way over your head mate.
"No one else wanted him this time either"… the next year after he was punted from the Northern Eagles he played for Parramatta - in a grand final. Was part of a Parramatta side that ran roughshod over the competition for all but the last game of the season.
Always pays to check the actual facts about somebody before you dump all over them and their past.

Just watched the interview on Fox sports that the article was based on…the word begging was never used ...I guess there is a sucker for a headline born every minute...

I didn't name the post, but he wasn't fighting off employers anyway

Lol what a clown Taylor is …he feels sorry for Farah's predicament?
This proves the club has no exit pathway for Farah's contract.

What a great team Parra had and Taylor had a great season

I think you missed the gist of MY post actually. I'm referring to when we gave him a head coaching job when no one else wanted him,
Always helps to read a post before dumping all over them and their post. :brick:

Why don't you reread your own post. You were talking about two points in time, not just when we gave him a head coaching job - "different time…either".

Between this and the Weidler article they both have to go now. Pay out JT and Farah I don't care if we win the Comp this is an embarrassment.

JT and Farah are behaving like petulant children we are better than this.

Its one PR machine vs another. As i thought this really is a Taylor vs Farah grudge match. Both cant keep their mouths shut, and each day we hear one side or another. We havent heard anything from Pascoe about Farahs comments, and Taylor cant stop talking about Farah. The fact this is still going and going, tells me the club want both gone and are happy for them to go at it even it if it means sacrificing this season.

It is good to have a coach with such tenacity, willing to get on with things when things aren't going his way. He has shown this since he has been at the Tigers and all through his career. Never the flashiest player or coach, but not the worst either and always willing to back himself. Plenty of people could learn a thing or two from Taylor; instead of whinging because life is unfair, getting on and doing something productive… Hope he is at the Tigers for plenty more years.

You basically said no one wanted him back then when he was playing…...Parramatta did.
And then you are inferring that nobody wanted him now.....Wests Tigers management do apparently, that is why he is our coach.

Had to have a chuckle, rightly or wrongly, when Taylor said something along the lines of "if you keep asking people for a start somewhere you never know what opportunities may open up for you". He basically only just stopped short of looking down the camera and telling Farah to ring around to see what vacancies may present themself. Thought it was a strange thing to say. Wish he would keep his mouth shut from now on when it comes to discussing Farah in the media. The coach needs to be coming across as the professional with the calm head in situations like this IMO.

Thanks for telling me what I meant FTB. Pity you're wrong
I never mentioned his playing. And was referring to his coming here as a coach. And so did the words about other clubs missing a bullet.
No one else DId WANT him as a head coach when he came here , and will want him even less now , after seeing how smoothly he manages a team.
We won't have to fight off the other clubs if we are crazy enough to resign the fool.

Next time il use smaller words so you are not confused

read somewhere ( one of the papers) last night that Pascoe said they aren't doing anything about it

There's not much that they could've done anyway, a storm in a teacup

No. It's not one pr machine against another. Remember that word imbroglio? It's the media maintaining the imbroglio. It keeps them in a job.

Which others didn't want him? For them to not want him I guess he applied elsewhere and was knocked back. I dont recalll who they were.
I know Bennett went to the Broncos but don't think he had competition there. Mary at the dragons from assistant to head coach, McFadden the same, Stone given another crack at the knights because they wanted a local after Bennett, Henry to Titans - did JT apply there? And Parra…yep, he missed that gig, but only just due to the Foran connection.

I read it as more of an encouragement article in regards to Robbie being no different to some other NRL players that have to play in reserve grade, brings some back to earth and makes them work harder instead of taking things for granted,at least it shows how much JT wanted to play NRL by writing letters to coaches and was given an opportunity…the other thing I will say is JT was a very good footballer but didn't get to his 200 milestone, however Robbie still has a chance to make 250...at least Taylor shoulders the blame for his decisions,as tough as they seem...
