I do wonder

The Brooks Hail Mary bomb with no kick pressure is getting tiresome, seriously if it doesn’t work the first 50 times why do we persist?

to me there’s no better 5th tackle option than finding the grass and turning your opposition back 3 around. No idea why we don’t try it

NRL has been drifting in the direction of the English Premier League for some years now where only a handful of teams are serious contenders every single season.

It appears the NRL want a Penrith vs Storm Grand Final with their glamour boy
Smith walking into the sunset with a Grand Final ring.

Do you think we’ll ever see a Tigers v Titans Grand Final ?

Do other fans go through what we do or are we unique.

Warriors are a pretty boneheaded team at the best of times aswell

...but atleast they’ve played finals in the last few years

since most people think we wont win again id assume they arent going to watch or post. That will make this a better place to visit

Madge has to fix some serious issues which are killing us.

Inability to control the tackle and get two markers to most tackles.

Lazy marker defence the marker should be cutting down forward at the ankles on almost every play.

Lazy kick chase and a lack of speed to get to high kicks and put pressure on the opposition.

Spacing in the middle is too wide quick players like Meaney carve us up. It’s due to lack of athletic talent but can be covered up.

Nofa has to drop back on kick returns Douihei has no speed it costs us metered and gets dominated too often slowing our sets.

Lack of genuine line speed for 80 minutes in spurts we are good.

the fact is that accept Aloiai, we played with our second tier props,
imho, Musgrave, Twal >> Packer, Eisenhuth. With Utoikamanu and Blore,
and hopefully another experienced enforcer we will have a better go forward the next year.

No depth in attack. Well placed bomb but no one player competes. Well placed cross field kick, no one sweeping.

Seems to suggest coaching ?

I dunno... The coach managed to win a comp not long ago.. He ca only do so much once they cross the sideline it's up to the players I'd suggest

The quality and quantity of Footballers has diminished in recent years ...(NRL)

Players these days fancy themselves more as athletes

We're more likely to see the universe collapse upon itself.

Imagine the odds you’d have gotten in 2001 for a Tigers-Cowboys gf.

I agree. Hopefully next year at we are fielding a pack containing Aloai, Blore, Twal, Utoikamanu, Musgrove but I feel we have to move on from Packer and Eisenhuth. They are not reliable enough. We need to add another prop. Ogden from the Dogs is a low cost option that’s an upgrade.

how a team that is knocking on the door of the 8's, leads by 16, against the team coming last, ends up only just winning by 1 point - what is wrong with this picture?

I honestly think it’s so long since we’ve played finals that we just don’t know how to play to win in the crunch moments. We don’t seem to be able to protect a lead against opposition that stands up and fights back. We show glimpses but it’s not going to be enough to get us to a finals series I’m afraid to say.

I'm sick of underrating the opposition. When have the tigers ever been good enough to do that? Everyone on here was locking in two points against the titans and the warriors. it's the nrl and it's a cliche, but every team is good. The Bulldogs have a decent side and getting a win is what matters, I don't care how they do it, it's 2 points and it's good. I think their squad is as good as ours. That was our season, down six points with 10 to go and we found a way to win. We were ugly in patches but we won. The game this week isn't the problem. it's losses against the titans, souths, warriors, Penrith, eels where we are in the game and don't win because we can't make clutch plays or close the game. Here we won, I've got no problem with beating the Bulldogs by only 1 point. I'd have taken that at kick-off and I'd sure as hell have taken it late in the second half. Just win.

Unfortunately posting and watching increase exponentially after losses..
