I Got The Need For Speed

Well we're currently the slowest team in the comp. We need a fast outside back or two. Lolohea could be one. Not sure how express he is at full flight, but Nofo, Suli, Reynolds aren't fast. Brooks is. All a winger needs to be a standout is fast, good finisher and decent in defence and under the high ball.

Nofo ran Jennings down pretty convincingly the other week. He has more toe than you'd think. Just doesn't get put in the clear very often to be able to use it. I'm really hoping that Reynolds will be allowed to play both sides of the field and we get to see both winger/centre combos in action.

Yep Nofo is surprisingly quick, but I also think Jennings may have slowed down a little. Agree with your point on Reynolds & really hope both our halves play all over the joint. Brooks did this when he first came into grade & it definitely suited his game & made us more dangerous/less predictable.

Now if only Koro would come back. Also wouldn't mind that young winger from the Cowboys. Honestly think Hoppa at #1 & Lolohea on the wing wouldn't be a bad option either.

Would like Gela Moseby from the cows. Can cover wing and also put pressure on Lolohea if he is here but fails to fire

Interesting that Bellamy always signs fast wingers. He clearly sees the need for speed out wide.

No Bellamy signs cheap wingers. Once they demand too much coin - Koro, Folau - he is very happy to move onto the next project.

Yep as for 2018 I think we'll def be lacking for speed aside from Brooks. Although apparently Lola, lol lol lolohea has a bit of toe.

Not sure about the other signings we're linked to, i.e. Milne, Fonua, etc. Looks like Cleary is going for power over speed.

The other day Lolo looked slow, but then again he hasnt played much NRL this year, had bulked up and maybe lost speed

On Milne, well he couldnt shut Suli down in a race to the corner which dashed all my hopes
Not sure about Fonua but we will be down on pace for sure

I have watched Milne the last 3 games he has played. He could not shut me down. How anyone could advocate to buy this player is beyond me. Marsters is twice the player.

:crazy :crazy

Gotta disagree, he just got into the clear and got run down by Adam Blair!

You know, James Roberts is **_still_** off-contract.

Not just speed but class and pisitional play. We've made good signings and he would be a super addition.
Really a big believer in respect of picking genuine backs in proper position. Too often players out wide get picked anywhere amd it is disrespectful of quality wingers and centers and even halves but it doesn't work too well. Look at the recent GFs and Cronulla, Melbourne, Easts and the Cowboys all picked balanced sides with players in position.
Probably a lesson for Laurie Daley there.

I think our wingers have a fair bit of pace, they just never seem to have any space to use it. I have not seen any speed from either of our centres, they look more like extra forwards
