I hate magpies!!!!!

I have to say I love Magpies. One of the most intelligent and mimicking birds around. Their songs are glorious, when I hear them I know I am home.

This one remembers me, I know it. Everyone in the street feeds the bird in the park across the road, including me, but he only swoops me.

No its ok I am not talking about the Wests Magpies, I have become quite fond of them over the last 20 years. I am talking about those pesky birds that rain hell down from the sky, well not even all of them, just the one at the end of my street that swoops me and only me. He and I are now in our annual battle for supremacy of my street, I refuse to run from this menace and turn to face him every time, I plan on landing a punch on this fiend mid swoop. The lines have been drawn.

You will lose to this almighty bird unless you are armed. I was attacked over 6 minutes across two football fields and the bird was smart enough to hover and evade punches. You can’t outrun them you will cop swoops to the back of the head. Once locked in they don’t just swoop once it’s a relentless bird. I was defeated for the first time in my life and I’ve been fighting for 20 years.

Only thing that worked for me was returning with a baseball bat alas the Magpie no longer swoops. Just hide the bat otherwise the bird will see it and fly away. Very smart.

You are warned don’t play with fire in September. They are angry haven’t played finals in a long time.

Butcher birds will draw blood and are much faster than magpies. My old man got on well with maggies but bbirds hated him.

Yeah we had two at our golf course and neither liked me .......1st and the 9th ran parallel and they'd get me on both holes and the 13th and 14th ran parallel and they'd get me there

One of my mates who was a Geelong supporter thought it was hilarious .....a Wests Magpies and Collingwood fan in a group of 4 and the only one copping it
