I've never had a problem with maggies, but minor birds are a shocker. They attack in pairs. Last year I had one swoop down to almost pavement level then come straight up at my eyes, while its partner swooped down at me from the side.
Glasses broken, head cut open, cheek and nose lacerated.
I hate minor birds

Noisy miners (grey ones) are a pain. Their numbers have exploded due to people planting showy grevilleas which provide a year round found source. Aggressive buggers which drive out and kill other birds .They may be native but their numbers are artificially high. Plants with smaller flowers are better to plant to discourage them. Don't pick one up as they have a nasty hook on their feet.

That's interesting. A few years ago a magpie family nested in a large gum tree in our front garden.

The male terrorised everybody up and down our street in spring. But he never bothered any members of my family. It seemed like he knew we belonged there and so he left us alone (thankfully).

I love Cockatoos, destructive little buggers but hilarious at the same time. Used to have families of them come and visit and show off. One of the funniest birds on the planet.

Rats with wings

Nah, that title belongs to pigeons

Rats chew
The bastard cocky’s have chewed my handrails , fence , Foxtel dish and antenna
If I had no neighbours I’d shoot them !

Thats similar to what happened here plus they devastated a womans beautiful garden on more than one occasion. They look nice but are the opposite

Magpies, Kookaburras, Rainbow Lorikeets and Cockatoos are my favourite birds.

Wedge tailed eagles are pretty cool
I remember first time driving in the outback, seeing one on road and being blown away by how massive it was.
But Kookaburras are the best.if I started a sporting team it would be The Kookaburras.

Have two come to my place every day for meat, they are fantastic, they come to the door or in the Garage

& wonder around. Just fantastic birds.

I live on a rural residential block @tigerbenji and have Magpies here ever day and never have a problem with them.
But when the Maggie's are close to the house the Willy Wagtails give 'them' a hard time by jumping around on on them to try to scare them away....it's fascinating to watch.
In fact nature as a whole is fascinating.

I can understand the fear Magpies instill in people when they swoop I have had many altercations with them on the golf course, having said that, where I live in the Southern Highlands of NSW we have a creek run past our property and we have a large array of wildlife around us..the wild ducks come onto our yard with the babies, sometimes up to 8/10 young ones,we feed them chick starter crumble and bread, they are thriving..the Magpies come as well and we feed them scraps plus bread etc, they follow me around like chooks and I have never had any trouble from them,,,we have a possum that comes around at night and eats some cat food with the cat..unbelievable to watch...
the funniest thing I saw was the possum walked up behind the cat and sniffed him,the cat jumped about 3 feet in the air, looked at the possum and kept eating

Possums are pains in the ass .....they'd party hard in our roofs and on our roofs ..like listening to a bowling ball being thrown from one end of the roof to the other

My best mates Dad was Chief Ranger at BFP and we'd get traps and catch them ...reckon we easily got 2 dozen over the years

Magpies around here are all friendly because the humans around here are kind to them.
Magpies remember faces for 7 years. I have a local Magpie who eats out of my hand. He brings his wife and his youngster over as well.
Magpies are good people. Treat 'em well and they'll treat you well.
