buy a big pack.
We're just too small.
Balmains last big pack was in the 80's i think with Sirro, Elias, Roach, Pearce, and co
Wests last big pack was in the the late 70's with Donnelly, Boyd, Gibbs, Cooper and co
What do both teams have in common.
They were damn contenders because they were BIG

Isnt the answer simple.
wouldnt they free our backs?
Will Potter see this reality through?

Or does Potter believe in his current troops.

Spot on, Manly has wingers that were bigger than our backrow.As much as i love Fults his workrate in attack just isn't good enough these days.Our front row is having to do to much and are totally buggered by the back end of the game.
 
I don't even think we need to buy players. Pettybourne, Bell, BMM and maybe some others, Choose one or two of them to replace Anasta on the left hand side. I think then the problem is basically solved.

Have at least two reserve props on the bench and assuming that they are rotated effectively our pack will go well.

I don't think we are that far off being a decent team.
 
How about we just swap all our players with Melbourne's - that should fix our problem! :stuck_out_tongue:

It won't happen because benji runs the shop and we will be stuck with average performers until he is gone.

Bring Naiyaravaro in and have a back three of Tedesco, Koro and Naiyaravaro. T will make mistakes but he's huge and will effectively be a taller, faster, Utai. That back three would be potent. Play the offloads game because that's what Tedesco (and Galloway, Woods, Blair, Anasta are as well but aren't ever able to show it due to Moltzen not backing up) is good at. Get Tedesco in space and give him two strong, fast options either side to link with and tries will come regularly.

Bingo!

All we need is a bit of structure, both in attack and defence and we will be sweet. We just need to do the little things right, the basics. Its like we dont have a solid foundation to work from at present, but it will come.

Stupid idea, No just kidding, Brilliant idea!! and I am not kidding. Lawrence is good eenough size and has enough speed to be a backrower.

The commentators mentioned it last night and recommended he should be left in the centres because he'll only get better ???

For the past 2 years he's been getting worse and worse.
Surely he has something to offer somewhere on the park.

We've got a lot of decent options at centre and it's a shame to say but maybe it's time to try something else...

From what I've seen this year he has been close to worse player on the team, along with Anasta.
Something has to be done about this no doubt, ideas?

Not really a fan of Lawrence @ #11 idea but wouldn't be upset to see it given a go.

Preferably Fulton, Anasta = retire/PGA world tour.

Really hopeful we buy some decent size for the bench @ the end of the season.
Our bench has really been lacking.

But if Lawrence were to go to the backrow, Fulton would have to go as well. As is the combo with Anasta, it's just too small.

I like that.

I like the young wingers and Tedesco at the back but would leave Lawrence as he is starting to gel with Koro. The opposition knows they have to watch Koro now and it gives Lawrence more room, which he'll benefit from.

But definitely, more size/power in the pack and more strike/speed at the back would seem like an improvement, problem is moving aside all those that are there…
