I POD touch issue

yesterday one of my sons, apparantly " Jailbroke" his IPOD

CYDIA( whatever that is) did not work so tried to restore it, and since then it says connect to I Tunes.
when connecting to I tunes, says device is damage and cannot be restored.

any advice would be appreciated, on how to possibly fix this issue

p.s. I'm thinking the unit will need to be replaced. :unamused:

Warranty will be void because your son decided to do that.
It being an Ipod touch, I don't see why doing that was necessary.

Ok, can someone enlighten me as to what jailbreaking is? I've heard about people doing this but have no idea what it is.

Basically removes all software limitations of the device set by Fuhrer Jobs and allows users to do things aplenty.

It's not illegal, but will void warranties. Also, not sure if someone can confirm this, but I remember reading a post that our app doesn't work on jailbroken iphones… This might be wrong though.

i have done it and i stuffed up my ipod just plug it in itunes and click restore
