Idris signing will hurt toothless Tigers..

Vote Blocker for UN ambassador :astonished:

As pointed out the signing does have some irony to it.

But the Idris signing is a good thing and I'd like to think he will see it as a chance to prove himself.

Just bear in mind that Roach was sacked from his coaching gig at the Tigers and was also given the arse from his commentry job over abusive behaviour. He's hardly the bloke to comment on the club's culture.

I doubt we paid overs for Idris, he's lucky to be getting another shot in the NRL at all. For the right price it's gotta be worth a punt. If he fades out or doesn't put in at training, Taylor will cut him

You know the club is doing alright when Blocker or Tommy are laying the boot in.

Block saying Idris will fail gives me more confidence he'll succeed

I must have missed the part where he said he would fail… only that he hoped they knew what they were doing.
Read into it what you will though.

He is probably upset that he is not getting a 100k gig for swanning round the club doing sweet fa. Also unhappy with treatment of Curtis sironen.

Unfortunately blockers downfall is he often acts before he thinks.

Its a typical Blocker thing, say something and let the peeps argue the point for hours..

All I will say about the article is that the WTs and JT have given Jama a second chance at NRL and its up to him to prove his worth…no more needs to be said about the man....

So JT , aswell, is far more expert than anyone on here including yourself.
Why do you deride an expert?

Good try lol…
I agree JT is more expert than me and for that reason would never write of his ideas simply because he said them. That said i disagree with some of his methods and opinions based upon lack of results. Disagreeing with an experts opinion on a matter is entirely different to claiming that persons has no right to an opinion because you dont like them.

I missed the part when someone said he doesn't deserve an opinion.
That meathead is far from an expert though.

Compared to you?

Compared to a door knob, but if your impressed with his intellect, good on you.

Blocker was a champion for Balmain, loved him as a player.

Post football though he's fairly cringeworthy at times. I'd like to hope that this was strategic piece intended to put the wind up Idris but the fact he takes aim at the club in other areas as well just stinks of a hatchet piece. Whether it be passion or not, it's not becoming to preempt failure prior to the season even kicking off.

Hope it does give Idris the added motivation to get stuck in and put the wind up Blocker.

You can disagree with Blocker's comments (i do personally), but all the personal attacks and the comments about his weight etc., says more about the posters than anything else.

I know its an internet forum where everybody grows an extra set of balls and turn into experts on everything, but play the ball not the man.

He's clearly playing the man and not the ball by some of his comments, so why should he be extended a courtesy he himself isn't paying? Only fair that he takes what he gives.

I don't mind some of Blockers comments as a commentator, the bloke is not stupid and knows his stuff. Unfortunately he has spent most of his life around shock jockeys like Jones and Hadley and he himself loves to make outlandish statements to get opinionated people talking.
He has a right to his comments on Jama and i'm sure it won't even register on Jamal's radar as he finds himself in some of the fittest form and clearest headspace he has ever been in. If anything he will get a laugh out of it with his coffee before training. The rest is a clear agenda as has already been alluded to and although one of my favourite past players, he does not at all represent the club I support.

And where exactly were the quotation marks identifying which words were actually his? Oh wait, there weren't any quotation marks as it was a load of crap spun by some intern at rlw.

I'm sure Blocker may have mentioned something in passing to someone about having doubts over whether someone like Idris can come back and re-gain his rep form. That's quite different to what that gossip segment said though!

I was under the impression he wrote the piece, hence why there are no quotation marks and the fact his name is at the bottom, implying he's the author.

If they weren't said by him, I'm sure he can inform RLW and they can retract the article and issue an apology to Blocker then.

No he is not playing the man. He is making comment about a player's football ability in a football magazine, not taking personal swipes about appearance or whatnot.

Pretty sure you mentioned on here previously you have a disability. I am sure you would not like people making light of that if they disagree with something you post on an unrelated matter.

Its just called being a decent human being.

You need to not read what Blocker says, but try an understand 'why' he is saying it…

The Wests Tigers need to have a strong year in 2017 on and off the pitch. Only then will the nay sayers put down their bats and leave our Coach, Management and Chairwoman alone.

The ball is in our court to succeed!

Taking a shot at the current management for the players we have off contract as if they were the ones who signed them to come off contract all at the same time is playing the man. Lets not pretend that he doesn't have personal motives. He obviously has been relieved from whatever role he had with the club, and his best mates son was recently given the flick. They are not constructive observations at all. And i haven't even mentioned his comments on the COE which make zero sense.

All that is well and good. And there is no problem in pointing that out like you have.

But blokes turning around and calling him a fat slob, like that's some some of insightful response, is just lame in my opinion.

I think your just looking for an argument without arming yourself with the facts of what i'm saying.
