Yeh a bit rough to be having a crack at Jamal before he has even played a game for us. Let's see how he goes.
Mgt have said a few times they're keeping any news of re-signing our lads in-house so whos to say they're not working around the clock to finalise this. Furthermore wouldn't the centre of excellence be a major reason for players to stay at or move to the Tigers?!

Nothing wrong with having some doubts about Idris - personally I hope he comes good for us.
Regarding the other stuff… he most probably has a better idea of what's going on at the club than anyone in here.

Actually Im glad Blocker had a crack at Jamal - because he is spot on.
For a team that lacks consistency - identified by all as a problem - and our only notable signing is known for being inconsistent in the highest order, well the irony can't go unnoticed.
We all hope it is a career changing signing but until he proves that he can make changes to his game - then all we can go on is his performance to date. It is exactly what Jamal needs to hear imo.

I wouldnt say that at all. The bloke has played at the highest levels, experienced all aspects of the game with regard to pressure, conditions etc, has been involved with coaching and has been a commentator for years.
He is far more expert than those in here who are slamming him.

He probably just offhandedly commented about his reservations in the Idris signing and some goose ghost-writer from RLW has twisted it into something more scathing. RLW has fallen so far as a publication it is hardly relevant anymore, it is more Woman's Day than hard hitting or informative RL publication like it once was 20 years or more ago.
The majority of its so-called "scoops" and inside stories are just rumours trawled from forums such as ours. Wasn't it only this season that someone on a forum made up some full-on BS rumour and it ended up in the media basically being spruiked as fact?

I can cop his opinion on the Idris signing, even though I totally disagree; but his comments regarding the current management is just sour grapes and trouble making. I think the current board and management team are doing the best job we've seen in many years. Who is Roach referring to anyway? Pascoe is relatively new, Kelly Egan is brand new, the board is fairly new??? It a shame O'Neill didn't work out but I think the club handled that swiftly and quietly. Does Roach have an issue that the club is majority Western Suburbs owned and run?
