So if Melbourne lose I’m curious to know do you guys reckon Cameron will retire, I read reports somewhere that the reason he hasn’t announced anything is that if they lose he’ll wanna go again which makes sense .... practically a certainty that he’ll retire if Melbourne win

This leaves me at crossroads, my hatred for Cleary is so strong that I’m not sure if I want Penrith to win however giving us a stronger chance to get back Grant than have Ivan lose with his son at Penrith while also guaranteeing Grant goes back to Melbourne

Intrigued to know how the forum feels about this?

Just an opinion, but Smith will retire either way. Another forumer already reminded us that Smith didn't announce his retirement from rep footy till after his last rep game. Perhaps he just doesn't like the fanfare.

400+ games though is incredible, and like Big Mal's 4 Kangaroo Tests, probably a feat that will never be repeated.

I would rather miss out on Harry ( I personally think he is going to stay with the Storm ) than see Cleary and his son celebrate a Premiership. Cameron just quoted saying something along the lines of that he has spoken to ex retired team mates and how they told him how they woke up one day and knew they didn’t wanna play anymore and admitted he hasn’t had that feeling yet

Make of it what you will, but I personally can’t see him retiring if they lose he literally just finished 4th in the daily M medal and still has it whether you love him or hate him you can’t deny he’s still a star
