If NSW Team was picked today

Well you can rule one player out from that side

He will be serving either a 6 month or 2 year suspension

It would have to be the 2 year suspension now wouldn't it? I would of thought the timeframe for voluntarily confessing and taking the 6 months would now be over.

FTB you'd think so , but I wonder if any players may not be 100% sure they are involved until they got called up to front ASADA next week

You actually think Maloney is as good a footballer as Todd Carney? Ok each to their own I guess. Two things off top of head though Maloney can't tackle and he gives away penalties like they're charity donations.

We lost by one point last year so I wouldn't be changing much. My team:
Stewart
Morris
Jennings
Morris
Hayne
Carney
Pearce
Grant
Farah
Tamau
Bird
Watmough
Gallen

Merrin
Gidley
Hoffman
Lewis

I don't really think Carney is renowned for having Johnny Raper-like defence either is he?

Yeah I'd be sticking with much of the same team as last year, except I'd be putting Woods on the bench in place of Gidley. Gidley offers nothing at SOO level. Lewis can cover a few positions.

I'm a big Hoffman fan Flip ,but he only seems to perform at his best when he is outside the Melbourne side

Switch Woods for Hoffman and be keeping an eye on Luke Lewis's form over the next month

Hayne
Morris
Jennings
Morris
Uate
Carney
Reynold
Grant
Farah
Tamou
Bird
Lewis
Gallen

Watmough
Woods
Merrin
James

I don't think the Stewart brothers brought much to the team last year. Pearce's kicking game was diabolical, try a halfback who can kick, and throw Hayne at the back for some more spark. I've been going back and forth in my head between Sims and James for the bench, both of them are tremendous impact players, throwing one on with Watmough late in a half could blow a game wide open. Our biggest stuff up in game 3 was too many back rowers, so I'd bring a couple of props onto the bench to ease the load on Tamou and Grant. Uate had a tremendous finish to 2012 and has started 2013 very well, I think he has earned a recall.

adam reynolds is a must

josh reynolds i'd love to blood. he shows ticker, alot more than pearce or carney ever have. he deserves more than those guys did.

Yup. The 2 Reynolds' would give it an almighty shake, need out-and-out mongrel to toss the QLDers.

yeh pretty much the same, except woods over hoffman

I'd like to find a place for fensom. He could be a good workhorse tackling maching at origin level, currently leading the nrl tackle count after 4 rounds.

Sonny Bill Williams would have to get a look in surely.

In all seriousness,
Trent Merrin will surely get into the team this year.
John Sutton has been going pretty well if you were to pick on this season's form alone.
Nathan Merritt, as per usual, must be bobbing his head somewhere.
Other names to think about: Michael Gordan, Michael Jennings, James Maloney, Aiden Tolman, Andrew Fifita.
