If Potter's sacked, only one man can get us back on track

Thats right boys and girls, Brian Smith. We are a mess right? We need someone with balls right? we need some one ruthless right? we need someone who isn't afraid to come in and punt players and make it known he's the boss right? then who better than Brian Smith. Now before you flame me and say he's crap, just have a think about it. He's had success everywhere he's been, the man knows how to pull a club out of the mire. As a coach he's severely misunderstood. Yes, he's been around as long as Sheens and Bennett, but he's a different type of coach. He's the type of coach you bring in in a crisis and make a short term commitment with. I think if he coached us for 2 yrs he'd leave us in a better position then he found us. People talk about him like he's Ricky Stuart, he's nothing like Stuart.

I back Potter 100% and i hope he gets re-signed, he deserved to be. But in the off chance he isn't, we need a hatchet man, and Smithy is the best hatchet man in the business. Believe me, the boys club will be abolished in 5 mins if Smith were to come in as coach.

He would still need the backing of the board and CEO. 3 weeks into his hatcheting and senior players go whinge to managment and were back where we started.

it would be a brave move. I would not be 100% against it based on his track record of blowing up joints and getting initial results. However the last thing this club needs is another media circus, and the media (DT) hate Smith so he would be under huge pressure from day 1.

There is prbably too much baggage to consider him an option. Imagine the headline - Review man appoints himself.

Is it a boys club issue though? I don't think we need a clean out of our playing roster.

Our board on the other hand….how many issues can be traced back to this bunch of muppets playing politics and petty faction wars. Our club has been knee capped for far too long in that area.

Don't you worry about the head coach, first we need a defensive coach.

64 Points…......................Oh the shame

Is there a possibility we might see Sheenius back in 2015… May have been a condition of his settlement..... Hmmm

The peanut that that played a starring role in the whole slippery slide. No thanks.

Explain to me how he played a role in anything - he was hired by the CEO to do an external report.

I would support Smith for 2 years maximum then out. Put him in with a young coach (i.e. Kimmorley or the like) with the contractual understanding that the young coach takes the head role after 2 years.

We don't have that much dead wood in the playing ranks imo

I agree with Lat this is more.front office than player person ell priblem

Potter must stay unless a vastly better option comes up

And I mean a Hasler ,Toovey or Bellamy type option

Bloody oath. That's the problem. For all the flak that Potter is getting there is nobody else, unless we try a rookie coach, which could end up just as bad.

Whats Nathan Brown up to in the ESL?
