If Taylor goes what then!

I do like the style of football Ipswich plays. It would be very marketable in the NRL and return us to our traditional way of playing football. I hope it happens.

Hope what happens?

Ahhh Yes - Back to our tradition…..
Of NOT winning games and NOT making the finals!!

That is the tradition this style of football has bought us.

People talk about the flamboyance of a 2nd grade team, Nobody has mentioned their defence was also fantastic this year... And we'll as the pressure they continually built.

If we "ever" learn to defend, And build pressure.... You can do whatever you want with the football. Learning to respect the football in hand has done us no harm.

Marketable commodity means more exposure and tv games = greater income for the club.

Commentary on the final included a comment that the Ipswich defence had improved remarkably during the final series.

Surely you're not serious? ….Are you?
There will be no fans (Money) if you can't win a game....
Our marketable commodity (Benji) is LONG GONE!!

Time to teach these kids how to play footy....

Prepared to give JT another year as long as the Farah saga is resolved quickly.

One thing I could not understanding and correct me if I am wrong, Brooks to me went backwards this year however on our coaching ranks we had JT, Matt Head and Brett Kimmerly all quality experienced halves in their own right who should have imparted their knowledge onto Brooks.

Matt Head was the coach for Balmain SG Ball, not WTs. It was Matt Head as an ABC commentator who remarked the WTs had not improved from game 1 this year.

Matt Head no longer coaches for the Tigers does he?

Not surprised if you openly critisise the development of players in the club.

Very unprofessional.

This is the EXACT type of 'culture' that this club needs to distance itself from.

Did we hear the Penrith or Manly lower grade coaches having a dig at the senior squad performance?

No?

They struggled too.

There has been far too much of this rubbish going on for too long- players, coaches, staff & ex-players teeing off on the club factions.

Oh how I wish for a club that pulled together.

Matt Head is coach of the Dragons' NYC team next year.

He is an outstanding young coach who won the SG Ball title with Balmain. You can check to see if Cherrington, Brooks, Matt Woods and Moses were some of the players he coached.

Matt Head by that stage had completed his commitment to Balmain SG Ball. Head's remarks were a valid criticism of Taylor's coaching, not a reflection on the players.

Similarly, Gould, Sterling and Johns all criticised Taylor during year. Gould's criticism specifically related to the use of our young halves.

This use of "culture"; I think I'll go and re-read Orwell's 1984.

Well, we've tried dumb down football this year and that worked well didn't it?
As well as making supporters stay home.
That equal last spot on the ladder was quite an achievement.

Not sure if you can use more TV games as a reason to play 'exciting football' as all games are shown on TV now…

I think Paws means, more games would be shown on "free to air TV."

Gould, Sterling & Johns were not employed by the Tigers at any point during the season either.

It's poor form. We happily get stuck into Kimmorley for his comments in the media, Head's were no better.

The club needs to remove these types of people & get a solid ship sailing in one direction.

I thought the Tigers had quite a few 'free to air' games.

I could be wrong, but games played on Foxtel or free-to-air make zero difference to the coffers from my understanding. The clubs get their share of TV revenue, I don't think it's based on who gets to play Sunday on Channel 9 more often.

Well given the football we supposedly dumbed down was our attack and we went from 14th most points scored in 2014 to 6th most points scored in 2015 with a worse team then I would say YES YES it did work really well.

It was a complete failure. We had a terrible year and we underperformed.

Head's comments were spot on, you either refuse to see it or you are watching different games than me.
