If we beat Manly it will set us up for the rest of the season

If we get a fair go from the ref we might have a chance …. But usually the first three penalties go to Manly all in good field position. We will get our first on tackle one, five metres out from our own line and one metre in from touch. I'm going there on Friday night so will be interested to see if any things changed.

And then there is our second penalty 20m out from our line with 35 seconds to go in the first half.

And don't forget the third one in the 79th minute when the game is all but over

If we can just pull this off and get a win ?

I know everyone says and me included always says 1 week at a time but after Manly we have Panthers at Leichardt followed by the Eels then a Bye .
Some very favourable games there but no team is easy in this Comp.

Their team is still choc full of stars and I reckon they will click at some stage this season.

theyre not "Choc" full any more! :unamused:

but i agree flip. they certainly seem formidable on that cow paddock they call a rugby league field.

still, good on ya tigersman. nothing wrong with getting excited! :sign:

If our forwards are serious they should just roll through Manly's pack. They arent as strong as Souths and are trying to sign every decent forward on the market.

But maybe they will beat us with their centres, with centres being the new most important position in the game :crazy

I would just like to see us competitive at Brookvale. It will be very disappointing if we go back to how we were playing. It is a hard place to win at so I am not sure what to expect.

I have been going to Brookie for decades and struggling to remember any wins. Their forwards are not nearly the standard of some of their teams in the past, but their backline is close to the best in the comp and I think that is where they will trouble us big time.

Love to be confident, but two big games in a row, hard to imagine

Pretty sure right after that it is Broncos roosters storm. The next three weeks really are close to do or die. Anything less than 2 wins and I don't think our final position will be much better than now.

Having said that if they keep having a dig I think we will still be interested in the last 2 or 3 rounds. Realistically this wouldn't be too bad.

Yeah spot on . Just keep us away from the Spoon battle , I just don't want to ever claim the Wooden Spoon .

Not sure if Farah is gonna be fit to play 2 days after an Origin he's already struggling to be fit for? It'll be a mighty effort for Woodsy to back up too.

if our forwards can play the same way though I don't see why we can't get a win here. We match up alright with them. And 😛ray: Lodge, smash Mason.

I would not be surprised to see Farah do a Slatter and head off for a operation on his shoulder after the SOO. Could be way off the mark but get the feeling he is getting needled up to get out on the paddock. In the past that would be curtains, but this year Halatau and Cherrington have done a good job
