A small bench may be an advantage in the afternoon heat on Sunday, 29 and muggy does not sound like conditions for 110kg + men.
And, as 'the_scene' noted, the rookies just aren't there yet. great potential yeah, but give a little time.

Gower and /or A Schirnack would offer the same 34mins of Cayless against Manly...
Allowing Cayless longer stint's on the field in State Cup...would get him up to speed sooner wouldn't it?
Anyhow I'm glad Sheens picked him on the Bench against his old Club....

I honestly don't see much value in dropping Cayless or Moors to state cup for game time's sake. Considering they're both on the bench anyways, their impact is going to be at the very least no more than what Shirnack or Gower would provide if given the same role. Sure they might play more minutes back a grade but in Cayless's case especially, he's expected to play a significant role both on and off the field for us and i still feel he'd offer more by just being there.
I dont know how this 'Bug' character gets away with criticising Sheens..First he names a team with numerous players out of position including Benji at centre and now he wants us to completley change our bench every week. IMO the bench showed potential, players like Cayless and Moors will improve by being tested against the best. Rookies may have all the potential in the world but they lack the experience and can ake crucial mistakes when they first come into grade…apart from the truly special ones, they need to be nursed into first grade not chucked intot he deep end.

Biggest problem playing Benji at Centre would be the defensive like Bug

Benji showed no defensive lapses last Monday night tackling blokes 20-30kgs heavier than himself..

Yes but that was defending with Lawrence inside him.
A Centres defensive work rate is higher and more difficult than a halves. Why drain him when it is not needed? He relishes in the role of chief playmaker
