If we lose this week should we look towards 2012?

Should be interesting to see how far we have regressed when we go up against the Raiders this week considering we have already played and beat them this year.The raiders put in an improved effort last week but still got beat,whilst we were ordinary again.
 
Don't give up hope on the tigers guys it is only round eight, there is still 18 rounds to go and who nows how we will do after those games. It is possible that we may make the the finals but it will most likely be from very lucky wins against hard or average teams home or away.

But here's a stupid stat for all you stupid people.

2005 - Win premiership, 4 wins after 10 rounds
2010 - Preliminary Finalists, 4 wins after 10 rounds.

By that logic, I hope we only win 1 of our next 3, that way we KNOW we're on our way to greatness.

Right?

Thankyou Bismark, you have made my job easier by beating me to those stats….
... you people need to stop listening to the media about how we're 2nd "favourites" to win the comp....
and start looking at the Stats...we have had 3 different halve combinations so far this season...
...half of our backline and forward pack has been out at some stage so far this season...
.. we are in the TOP 8... so stop bloody panicking...
 
if we lose this weekend, I'll probably put some money on us to win the comp as the odds will be getting pretty decent!

Go back at look at our 2005 draw Thats why I was so keen to get on us at 150-1 after Brisbane game . 2010 was not that hard a draw either . 2011 From round 10 onwards have a good look and see if you think it is an easy draw with many top players coming back from injury or carrying injuries

You could have said the same thing about the team a few times last year (the awful Souths losses seemed to come at the end of some poor runs of form), but each time we did manage to turn things around pretty quickly. No reason why we can't again, especially once we start getting a bit more stability back in the lineup after so many injuries.

Panthers - Rd 11 - CTOWN
Knights - Rd 13 - LO
Eels - Rd 18 - PARRA

…. we should win those games..... the only hard games are ;
Bulldogs - CTOWN
Dragons - WIN
.. we always beat storm at LO....
Rd - 15

.... all we need is Benji & Lui to string a few games together....
Payten & Ellis should be back next week....Lote should be back for the Knights game....
.. i dont see a problem with the draw HT...its just our halves that need to combine....
benji has been doing all of the work because of new combinations....once Lui strings 3 - 4 games together...BOOOOOOOM ! we're back babyyyyyyy
 
As long as we dont get anymore bloody injuries, thats whats going to ruin it for us this year, i believe we have the talent to suceed, we just dont want anymore injuries.
 
Stupid thread title. For goodness sake, we'd be 3 and 5 if we lost which is hardly what I'd say is a dire situation. It's different for Canberra, they'd be 1 and 7 if they lost which means they can really only afford to lose 4/5 more matches to make the eight.

Sure, we've just had 2 pretty bad games, but it's definitely a recoverable situation. We're still in the Top 8 after all.
