If you were Potter...

That'd be the best move he could make as our coach. He might even keep all the other players in their correct positions as well. Geez, we won't know ourselves!

I'm not sure that we should be giving the coach advice :bulb: but if I were so bold as to give such I would suggest install a decent half back in our team as quickly as possible, everything is looking much brighter now

First move should be to sit down with all football department staff and lay out the direction forward.

After that go into the pre-season with goals but no hard and fast preconceptions. Flog them hard and make sure they know it is all on the line this coming season and about December start sorting who you want in your first choice squad and where you want them to play

Can't ask for much more than that at this stage.

Number one I'd spend the off season tackling. Tackle bags, each other, tackling anything that can move.
After we're done on that a little more defence, with a side of defence, fitness, a bit more tackling, then some defence to finish it off.
-Miller would be number 7 and given free reign to play his natural game. He didn't win a premiership, play origin or for Australia by being given a channel to stay in for the entire game.
-Benji back to 6.
-I'd be looking at Ayshford and determining if he's going to be a center or backrower for the entire year and training him accordingly.
-Every player would be in contention for a spot. As a new coach there would be no loyalty to boys club members.
-There'd have to be a way to get Adam Blair more involved in the game. Whether thats a positional change or a new game plan in attack. He needs to become more involved.
-Fitness, Fitness, Fitness. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought we looked a bit flat last year. I'd definitely be pushing the boys a bit harder.
-If Moltzen is going to remain at fullback I'd have him at training either 2 hours early or staying back 2 hours later, catching bomb after bomb after bomb and practicing kick returns. Worked for Slater.

I'm so excited about next year seeing what changes mick makes and how the team reacts to his coaching. I'm looking forward to seeing the team he names for round 1\. Can't remember being this excited for the season to start in a long time!

No need to over analyze. Simple really
- Play players in their correct positions
- Replace an injured player with one player, not 4
- Drop guys who deserve it
- Eliminate the boys club
- NO WINGERS ON THE BENCH

There isn't any more we can expect or ask for

devoting a heap of time to defense, and telling the squad that weak defense will result in a game in reserve grade the following week. Get some attitude back in the place and squash the boys club mentality.

get them to believe in themselves ala Bellyache & Hasler.

I agree, self belief and belief in each other will go along way for the team to be ultra competitive.
