First thing to do? Assert yourself without throwing your weight just for the sake of it. Which can be tricky.

We need a leader, the players are basically crying out for one.
 
I'd have a couple of the best steaks I could find tonite, cause with the $$$ he's on it might be a while before he has another one

-If Moltzen is going to remain at fullback I'd have him at training either 2 hours early or staying back 2 hours later, catching bomb after bomb after bomb and practicing kick returns. Worked for Slater.

I'm so excited about next year seeing what changes mick makes and how the team reacts to his coaching. I'm looking forward to seeing the team he names for round 1\. Can't remember being this excited for the season to start in a long time!

I wouldn't worry about the Squad lacking fitness at the end of pre-season. Mick is an extremely fit guy and I think the Players will either be shocked or pleasantly surprised by his level of fitness. He will already be aware of where the Squad is as far as levels fitness, preparation and also confidence! The fact that he is happy with the training regime in place means its easier all round to get things up & running, I'm sure he will develop it as he goes along to his way of wanting to proceed!

Stuff Alan Jones. He was a crap league coach and is an overpaid windbag. I thought he was now a souths supporter. I heard a few board members put the red pen through Parish as soon as Jones recommended him.

Alan Jones has no influence at the Tigers and that is a very good thing.

Settle on a defensive structure. Decide quickly how he wants this team to play.

Start working on team blend & structure early- he's already behind the 8-ball. Get them playing together, not individually.

The team is skillful enough- structure & mindset are the only real areas in need of improvement.
 
What I'm finding is exciting is the thought that a fresh set of eyes are on all of our players - new ideas, no past connections.

Exciting times ahead!!
 
RING Chris Sandow and ask him the type of food he eats. Then give the list to Adam Blair so he can pack on the kilos then the real Blair will be on show.

How long do coaches get these days before the shiny, newness wears off and they just become the incumbent chump who wouldn't know a sweetly timed run around from a Matt Groat sidestep (work in progress)

I would introduce statistics based performance measurement and accountability …..

It happens in every business ....

First thing I would look at is why did Adam Blair fail to run the ball 100m s In so many games
