Overnight I've lost 2 colourbond fences and I have a flooded back room 😱pen_mouth: It's nice living near the beach until something like this happens  This weather is certainly nowhere near as bad as the stuff our members up north have often experienced in the past, but it's the worst I have endured since living here, that's for sure! I hope nothing else flies away today

The only thing that should fly away next is our clubs bad luck(s)

Good to see if you still have the internet though flip.We will keep you company in this torrent conditions you describe

Trees down and some streets closed in Manly. Been getting thrown around, getting across the heads to and from work. Last night and this morning crossings were particularly rough in the storm swell. There's a cruise ship out pasted the heads that will have to wait 48 hrs before coming in through the heads.

Thanks fellas, staying inside now for sure. Too dangerous outside with all flying debris! And yes, I'm one of the lucky ones - I still have power and the internet :stuck_out_tongue: Hope it stays on, otherwise I'll have to read a book :astonished:

Hope all our Hunter/Newy residing members are ok, flooding is really bad up there I believe.

Was out in it until midnight before being sent home for a few hours sleep and about to go back into it now. The work to be done is horrendous and I'm not looking forward to it at all. The hard thing is the jobs are very time consuming. In 16 hours yesterday we only completed 2 jobs. Think I'll be doing a few 16 hours shifts to get on top of things. Just praying the rain eases a little and people stay safe including us emergency services.

Stay inside if u can. This is the worst I've seen

The wind is the biggest problem. Combined with the rain it's causing havoc. Wish it would just stop now. Get yourself a cuppa, put yor feet up and stay warm Flip.

Reminds me of typhoon season when I lived in Japan. Not as bad of course.

I certainly can't take credit for being a volunteer mate, I'm paid for it. Those who volunteer take it to a whole new level.

Thanks TM. Appreciate it

What a nice day today though, here in Newcastle…
I got power back last night at mid night.
Haven't been able to since Monday.

Luckier than some in my street who had trees fall on their roofs.
No good, hope everyone is safe.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Flip

I suppose that is an issue , things down NSW wouldn't be built to withstand the batterings we can cop up here

Again I hope all our Mexican brother and sisters are all safe and well and keeping dry and warm
