:wahoo:

Agree grow up and given what you have done I have little respect for your opinion now or in the future, what kind of supporter are you if you cant deal with not winning all the time go and support someone else

Why bag the bloke? It is his money and its a personal decision. Obviously feels like he is being ripped off. All the cheap talk and promises of stepping up, are looking pretty hollow. Sure it is only 9 Round in,however we have seen this all before. To have Souths rack up 50 against us would have to go down as very close to the blackest day in the club's history. Sometimes enough is enough, if he has been a member for 11 years that is alot of mediocrity to put up with. He might live to regret it but it is his call.

im sure he could always call up club and say he lost card if something miracle happened and we started winning.

I'm guessing if he sends it to Concord the membership will be cancelled, so no replacement card. Although I believe he is sending it to DT.

To those bagging fergie out, its his decision and he's free to do with them whatever he pleases. My personal opinion is that you support the club through thick and thin, and anyone who is willing to not support them anymore because of the coach or players is fickle at best, but its ugly following a team who have so much potential to do better than they deliver.

Mexican Eggball supporters turn out in droves every week, doesn't matter whether their team is coming first or last. I admire them for their parochialism.

i have been a supporter for this club and previously balmain for as long as i can remember. i was 7 when we lost to canberra in 1989 and remember going to my room balling my eyes out and ripping up on my canberra raiders footy cards (Which was a terrible decision as i had the whole collection)

i sat in the pouring rain on the hill for balmains last game at leichhardt oval v parramatta on my gfs 16th bday party night.

i was a member of balmain in 1999 and a gold wests tigers member for their whole existence, for the last 3 years my wife has also been one and i now take my 5 year old nephew to games with us.

i have travelled interstate to watch them, missed work, important social events and even a mates wedding for the dragons semi final.

during the speech at my 21st my parents had to drag me from the tv during the souths v tigers game when bryan fletcher coat hangered trent clayton

i would have spent tens of thousands of dollars on jerseys, merchandise etc and hanging proudly in our second bedroom is a signed jersey by the 05 grand final winning team which cost me over $2k

no one can call me not a true supporter

i have invested a huge part of my life into this team, and to be honest probably too much

i can handle us losing, hell ive witnessed my team make 1 semi finals appearance in the last TWENTY YEARS!!! i dont ask them to win every week, and during the 90s and 2001-2003 i accepted losses as our playing roster meant we were never going to be a strong team.

however there is no reason that we shouldnt be a top 4 team and after the first 5 rounds i truely thought we would be. but now its evident we wont be as we are losing for the exact same reasons we have lost every game since 2006\. NOTHING is being done to fix this and it never will. i have now accepted this.

i am sick of constantly investing my time, effort and love into this team. the team, club, players, staff etc clearly couldnt care less about the commitment i have given to them.

I have only ever walked out of one Wests game. It was a NSW Cup game last year when the Bulls put 70+ on the Magpies. As a long time Wests supporter I am used to being beaten, and often beaten badly, but if the team tries their hardest and gets flogged well so be it.

With the game I left early, what upset me wasn't the 40 point lead at half time, it was that once the players realised this was going to be a tough day at the office, they dropped their heads and gave up. A bulls player would beat our defence and cross the line out near the wing, but our players just stopped the chase and let them constantly score under the posts. Things like that shows there was no heart. And if the boys weren't willing to try, I wasn't willing to waste my time supporting them.

Like I said its the first and only time I have felt that way. But it gives me an understanding of how some must have felt at the SCG on Sunday.

After that match the Wests Magpies released an official appology

APOLOGY FROM THE CHAIRMAN
>
Following the match against the Bankstown City Bulls at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday, 6 June, 2009, Chairman of the Board of the Western Suburbs Magpies, Mr Kevin Hammond issued the following apology on behalf of the Board, Management, Coaching Staff and the Players after the NSW Cup Squad had suffered a humiliating 72 points to 16 defeat.
>
"On behalf of the Board and Management of the Magpies, the Coaching Staff and Players of the NSW Cup Squad, I wish to extend to our members and in particular our wonderful group of loyal supporters who came to Campbelltown Stadium yesterday, paying the price of admission to support their team only to have to endure an appalling on field performance which resulted in a humiliating 72 points to 16 defeat at the hands of the Bankstown City Bulls an unreserved and unequivocal apology.
>
The performance of the team was diabolical and totally unacceptable by any measure. It was embarrassing for all concerned and reflected poorly on the club in the eyes of everyone present at the ground.
>
I can assure everyone that all associated with the club including the players were devastated after the match and truly embarrassed not only about the result but our performance overall.
>
A meeting conducted behind closed doors in the dressing room involving all players and members of the coaching staff proved to be a productive exercise in allowing everyone the opportunity to 'speak their piece' regarding the team’s performance not only in this match but over the past 4 weeks.
>
Importantly everyone involved including players, coaching staff and support staff, management and the Board remain extremely positive and above all doggedly determined to arrest the current form slump to enable the team to get its season back on track sooner rather than later. I can assure everyone that no stone will be left unturned by anyone to find the answers and solutions to our problems.
>
Both the coaching staff and the players know what they must do to put things right and this is precisely what everyone will be working overtime to achieve. What we need is for everyone, importantly our loyal diehard supporters to keep the faith and remain focused on the job ahead as there is still a long way to go in the 2009 season.
>
We have not been leading the competition for the majority of the first half of the 2009 season for nothing. We have demonstrated we have the players and the ability to do well in this competition but unfortunately we have hit a wall which can happen at any time. One only needs to look at the NRL competition to see abundant evidence of a similar fate which confronts clubs from time to time during a season.
>
I encourage everyone to stand firm and remain extremely positive whilst you continue to get behind the players in support of your club. With your support we will get through these tough times together. That after all is the Western Suburbs way!
>
Kind Regards

Chairman of the Board.

Instead when the same thing happens at Wests Tigers, the club releases an apology for allowing kids to run onto the field after the match.

If you are really serious about being done… I want to see that cut to shreds! :smiling_imp:

Fergie, I never said you weren't a true supporter, that dig was at the bandwagon supporters that only seem to wear the jerseys, rave about how much they love the club and go to the games only when the club is winning.

I understand your frustration. I think most on this forum do.

probably called the club saying he lost his cards and getting them replaced

they are still along way in my eyes from "stepping up" like they said tho.

I doubt he is satified after 1 win since the losing streak. Give him a few weeks or so then ask again.
