I'm Out

I've gone for the Tigers for as long as I can remember but today I officially hang up my boots as a fan. I'm not putting up with this anymore.

Feel free to join me, most of you probably know deep down that following this club is a serious waste of your energy, time and money.

Spare me the "true fans stay loyal through the thick and thin" bs - I don't care. I've wasted so much energy caring about this club over the last 11-12 years of pathetic (to say the least) football and I think at some point you have to know when to cut your losses.

I can't believe its actually come to this but here we are.
I played grade for Wests and the Tigers in the 80's and I live in Leichhardt so I've known nothing else but I don't really care too much about the footy these days. They've worn me down. I was against the merger from the start, got excited in 2005 but it's been a bit of a chore lately. I look forward more to the NFL. I have a nephew playing at the Broncos and that will keep me interested for a bit but other than that......it's not what it used to be.

Sounding like an old has been.....

I could never support another club but that does not mean i don't get very annoyed with what we get served up.Two disgraceful performances in a row with a decent side is inexcusable

Not saying we will win the comp but they look lost like in 2005 and after about round 6 they started to click let's hope it comes together I think they are putting in energy but it's miss directed need a Scott Prince or a steady half back just to direct

Agreed but unfortunately i don't know where that half back is,hopefully Sheens gives the reggies half a run in FG

You don't have to announce your departure. Shit posting aside, I feel ya mate. Been down the same thought path the last decade. The club is a form of emotional abuse. Unfortunately for many fans they appear to love the club more than anyone actually involved at the club and its in your DNA. The fact for 10 years they've deliberately played without a half back tells you everything you need to know. They couldn't careless if the club wins or loses. But you'll be back, you wont be able to help it. I just wish people at the club felt the same way. To them its just a pay check.
You're 100% right about not caring less about winning or losing. It's a business and that's it. 30,000 fans turned up the first 2 weeks times 60 bucks. Nearly 2 million dollars. We got smashed. They don't give a shit, same thing will happen next year.....

Tigers are becoming more and more of a passing interest for me these days. I certainly watch a lot more live Cowboys games to be honest.
Tigers are my team, but I follow Payten and his boys just as closely.

All is good when you still get paid for bullshit

EDIT: I don't enjoy doing this, I don't advocate for giving up when the going gets tough, but I do advocate for calling it a day when you realise you're being taken for a ride by management that only cares about dollars and cents and not winning games.
Do what you need to do, and don't feel bad if you come back one day in better times. We have all been where you are, there should be no more "true fan" posers after the last 11 years

I'm going to hang in there. I supported Balmain in 1994 and I don't think it will ever be that bad again.

We all get disappointed when we expect to at least see a good performance. I remember Balmain being so bad that even a good performance would not get us anywhere near the good teams. I remember being satisfied when Broncos would beat us by 20 not 50.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Feel your pain brother. I'm close to giving up, believe me. I'm exploring other sports to give me the fix I need. Still haven't found it yet.

The supporters are worse than the team.
They've lost a second round game by 2 points and you're all peeing your panties.
You've got the resilence of wet tissue paper.
Harden up ya sooks.
Completely devoid of context as if they only just started playing bad or something. Have you not watched the last 10+ years? I'm not giving up after 2 weeks of rubbish I'm giving up after 12 years of it.
