Guys

I hate Ricky Stuart and reckon that our management didnt do enough to keep James.

Not because they didnt match the money but like all business deals the longer things get dragged on for the more chance there is for something going pear shaped.

I dont believe we would be in this position if Milford didnt come out and say he was going to the Broncos.. i maybe wrong but whatever its done.

I read that Prcotor retracted from Canberra this afternoon, which shows they are already in a mess.

I am willing to put up $5K per year to keep James at the club and reckon that between everyone we could raise an extra $100K per year to keep him at the club. I know businesses that i could hit up as i am sure everyone does.

Who wants to band together and do this?

Maybe there is a chance for his contract to "cool off" (most of them have these) which would mean he could legally retract.

If anyone knows Mayer i would be happy to meet with him and see if i can work out something to keep him at the club.

I admire your passion tiger4eva but I think it too little too late.

There has been talk before about this happening as TPA but not as easy as it would seem apparently.

But a big thumbs up for wanting to have a go - I'd like to see him stay too if there is some way, even after signing for the Raiders.

All contracts have "cooling off periods"….. The only way he could come out today and tell his team mates is if

1\. His contract didnt have one

OR

2\. He signed early last week and kept it a secret.

Considering Mayer met with Ayoub today I doubt he signed last week.

I know some pretty big hitters and reckon that if i was able to have a week or so I would have a darned good crack and raising $100K per year to keep him there. We cant have been that far off.

Not a chance. Tedesco just stood in front of a camera and said "it isnt about the money".. ..i hate that. Why cant players just come out and say "the offer was too good to refuse"….at least we would then respect him.

I wouldnt give 5 cents to stay mate.

Kingsirro and tommymagpie - agreeing with one another
One Balmain and one Wests
At least teddy brought together as 1 today.
let's hope it's a sign of the future -

who was the last player to come out and say i signed coz of the money?

for izzy and k.hunt- it was about a "challenge"
for sbw- it was about a "handshake deal"

no one is a saint. political correctedness is much appreciated than honesty.

Very noble of you Adrian but I think we should just let him go.
We know it's all about the money and nothing else …. If his heart was in the place then different story.

Nup if he doesn't want to be here he's better off where he wants to be. His reasons for going are his own and he's entitled to them whatever they are. I've had some pretty great staff leave my team but I never try to stop them. As others have said, if his heart's not in it………..

Your best chance is to hit Grant up on twitter, it's definitely a long shot, but if your passionate about it it's definitely worth a shot, I, like you, would love to see him stay.

if its not about the money , then he's pissed of with something or some one at the club, anyone heard anything.

Yea I heard he was complaining about the physio tables not having enough padding and as he spends so much time on them that he wanted his own ultra padded table. Mayer refused.

I didnt single James out, i said why cant players tell the truth. Im referring to James and also the players you mentioned. But in this particular case it is a bigger slap in the face to fans to say its about opportunity and not money…..seriously, what opportunity is he getting at Canberra that he wouldnt get here??? Its financial opportunity so just say that
