IMO - The fast finish will be needed to make the 8!

Looking at the draw…...I can only see a max of 4 more wins before Round 18.

Canberra in Canberra
Souths at ANZ
Panthers at Campbelltown
Saints at Jubille
Knights at Lilyfield
Warriors in Auckland
Storm at Lilyfield
Dogs at Campbelltown
Parra at Parra (RD 18)

So where will the wins come from????

We have 2 byes in those rounds, that means 18pts with 8 rounds to go...

Not good enough to make the 8? I think it will be a stretch! 😕

Hopefully our injury woes will be gone by then.........

For the moment the Tiges are stuck on the corner of Struggle St & Crazyfooty Avenue!

Your thoughts???

I think we are in strife! :frowning:

When you say 4 wins, do you agree we should get the first 3? If yes, then I think it should be good from there when we have the momentum. T

A max of 4 wins!

I say souths, knights , warriors and maybe sneak another one in somewhere!

Really scratching my head as to where these wins will actually come from'

Most of these teams have the wood on us, regardless of where we play.

Confidence is low, i feel that there is no trust within the group, there are no effective combinations and the constant playing players out of positions is crippling this once brilliant side! I'm hoping that I am as wrong about this as the Crystal Ball has been all season!

We need to win every home game. Looking at the draw we having nothing at SFS/SCG for a while. That means we have proper home games for a while. We also have origin time to come. As none of our players get picked and a few of our injured regular players will be back, we should be able to really make a charge over that 7-8 weeks.

We need a team camp. We won't have anyone in SOO so this is when we can make a good run. Looking at the list I think we can win 6-7 out of the 9\. The first 3 we can win. Can't see us beating the Saints. We can beat the Knights and Storm at Leichhardt (we have a great record against the Storm at this ground). We could also beta the Warriors over there. We will probably lose to the Dogs and we will beat Parra. That is 7 out of 9 and we will be near the top 4 if we do that. We looked worse last year at times and still made the top 4.

We play at Leichhardt Oval not Lilyfield as you put it. Yeah I know the ground is in Lilyfield but if you gonna quote the grounds be consistant either name the suburb or venue for all not Jubilee ANZ then be a bright spark and say Lilyfield

and on the subject we need to find back bone very quickly or we will struggle to make the 8….....end of story

Ease it up Tiger05…...Everyone in this forum knows I'm a joker and that I always refer it as the Lilyfield Rectangle! :bash

Geez.......Anxiety and Frustration on this forum comes at all levels! 😕

Im steering clear of this forum for a while if i'm gonna have my head taken off for calling it Lilyfield! :brick:

tiger05 = cry baby.
no denying we're struggling this year, hopefully we can make a late finals charge like parra 09.

I made a prediction at work before rnd 1 we wont make the 8 this season after last night Im convinced we wont be there we have beaten souths and canberra….wow were gone

My concern is that if we are already talking about the need for a late-season surge just to make the 8 we are stuffed. It's round 7 :frowning:

Injuries have played a part, but the main concern is most or our players are just right out of form, farah and ellis are trying hard, but are only a shadow of previous year's efforts, benji is struggling behind a pack out muscled every week, moltzen is struggling with confidence and sheen's habit of rushing favourites back in after long lay offs is backfiring, we are missing lote and lawrence in a big way as far as strike power out wide goes, utai has been solid but he just can't make any line breaks. There will come a time when the combination will settle again but I fear it will be like many seasons before, way too late to make any impact. I do hope we can give a few new faces a run off the bench this year if we are out of calculations.

see my signature…..too early for these guessing games...week at a time...

I agree with the camp mate but struth, there is no way we can beat Melbourne…

At this point there is certain teams i have resigned to the fact we can not beat this season.

We may still make 7th or 8th but i'm seeing another 9th to be honest.

We need Loti, Lawrence and some form of fullback first.

I have been trying to work out where we can finish in the eight, but i am just hoping for a win against canberra this weekend. the more i look @ it the more we need some players back real soon, but if mckinnon plays this week i think we can win.
