IMPORTANT NOTICE ON LEICHHARDT OVAL
22/07/2011 4:08:29 PM

Wests Tigers wish to advise the NRL match against the Sydney Roosters will proceed at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday night.

The Club has issued the following information in relation to the game after heavy rain has hit Leichhardt Oval in recent days.
**- New Gates opening time: 5.15pm instead of 4.15pm.\
\
- NRL Kick-off: 7.30pm. This will be the only game played at the ground.**

- The U20s match between Wests Tigers and Sydney Roosters has been transferred from Leichhardt Oval to Campbelltown Sports Stadium. Kick-off is 1pm. Entry is $5\. Following the U20s match, Western Suburbs Magpies will play Central Coast in the NSW Cup.
**- Given the dampness of the Leichhardt Oval hill, some areas of the hill will be closed and patrons are advised to follow the instructions of Customer Service staff.**
**- The Glover Street turnstile entrance to the hill will be closed. Entry will only be available through the Mary Street entrance. The laneway between Glover Street and Mary Street will also be closed.**

- All pre-match entertainment has been cancelled.

- All reserved seating has been sold out.

I wonder how much of the hill will be closed.

And it is going to be chaos getting out of the ground especially if a decent crowd still turns up.

But not much you can do when the weather dishes this sort of stuff up!

Strange the the gates are opening 2 hrs before kick off when all you can do is watch the rain fall…. :crazy

I'm going to wait till 20 minutes to kick off in the Red Lion before deciding whether to be brave or wimp out.

In Rnd 15 ( Storm game at Leichhardt ) they closed that bit of grass near the Hospital where lots of people park due to the rain, so I reckon they will do it again, just thought I'd put it out there.

Thank goodness it's still on! Even if it was still raining all week, every day, all day. Even the adjudicator tips the tigers by 18! Go tigers.

Yeah…hopefully they find something to play on the big screen...surely they could show the 5.30 NRL game, seeing as the crew from Fox are doing out game as well?

I remember a Friday night game against Manly at LO in '05 where they cancelled the curtain raisers due to rain, and they showed a Ch9 Origin highlights doco that had aired a few nights earlier

We must be due to see another replay of the 05 grandfinal.

I think they have issues also with having to order in food and pay security people. They probably hope a few might turn up between the gates opening and 7pm to eat, have a drink and spend some money on tigers jumpers, hats and flags. Will be interesting to see 15000 people arrive (hopefully they still get that many) between 7-7:30.

I just checked http://www.weather.com.au/nsw/leichhardt (at 5.52am)and it is indicating no more rain for today.

I think the hill will not be to bad.

They are just going to block of from the top hill toilets to the big screen so you can not access any where near the Glover st entrance(which is a quagmire even when it is dry) .

IF any thing i feel it will be a reduced crowd so get their at gates open if you want a seat,i know i will be!

Probably not Ed as I am a fair weather supporter in the truest sense. Mrs Duguid has advised that in this weather I could catch a chill
