Meanwhile, the NSW Rugby League has extended invitations to several boom play-makers for an individual training session with three former Blues on Thursday afternoon. Laurie Daley, Brad Fittler and Trent Barrett will run their eye over and provide tips to the state's most promising young halves. Invitations were given to the Wests Tigers' Curtis Sironen, Jacob Miller, Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses, Cronulla's Chad Townsend, St George Illawarra's Shannon Crook, Penrith's Toby Evans and Newcastle's Tyler Sullivan.

Pretty good wrap for our boys 4 of the 8 players being Tigers

I know I have said this a few times , but I hope the Tigers make sure they keep the right 2 boom youngsters for the future

Absolutely agree, but young sironen will likely end up playing backrow just because of the shear size of him.
So hope that means we can keep Siro + right 2!

Yes Siro's future is not in the halves. Backrow with centre (if he can handle defensive workload) in the short-term.

Would like to hold onto Moses and Brooks for as long as possible. Ideally you would be grooming Moses as Benji's replacement but doubt he will wait that long a regular gig.

It may be a case of not renewing Benji's contract when it expires with a view to promoting Moses when that time comes around.

Yes I had that thought. As good as Marshall can be, given that he soaks up a large chunk of our cap and his inconsistency, if Moses develops well that may well be a very prudent option. Marshall is signed up until 2015 and at 30 his best years will be behind him. It would be the right time to move on if the right player is available. Given the raps on him, will Moses wait that long?

And how many pages of discussion will that create Willow 😱pen_mouth:

let me start Happy. Totally agree with Willow unless Benji has a major transformation.

Benji is contracted till 2015 after that he can move to prop….oh hang on Sheens is no longer with the WT....

You could be right there Willow. It may also be the right time for Benji to try out the All Black option too.

Hmmm… Benji's value is greater off the field than on the field so I doubt the club would look at him as simple as development of juniors.

If Benji can play for the Tigers until he hangs up the boots ie One Club Player, his value will again triple to what he can do for the Tigers.

Juniors Can Wait!

You may be right TW.

However, what has become clear to me over the years is that the clubs who best deal with generational change are the ones that make unemotional decisions regarding replacing ageing champions.

If both Brooks and Moses have played so well together during the years it would be madness not to have them both in the halves when they are ready. If Benji is still with us and he is second to Moses then Potter or who ever is the coach by then we could move a stronger Benji to the centres. Just a thought.

Shannon crook is a junior as well , snared by the dragons a couple years ago

Some juniors can wait Watto, but every once in a while a junior comes along who MUST be signed up. Brooks and Moses are arguably the most important juniors the Wests Tigers have developed since their inception IMO.

I remember versing Shannon Crook in 2011 when he was Captain and Halfback of the 18s Narellan Jets side, he carved us up with his kicking game and long passing game, great defender too.

P.S We won.

Robbie and Benji will be right for a while but I can see a future Wests Tigers team with:

1\. Tedesco
6\. Brooks
7\. Miller
13\. Sironen
9\. Moses
