Wests Tigers injury news
Wests Tigers centres Blake Ayshford and Chris Lawrence are expected to be out for up to six weeks each.

Ayshford has a syndsemosis injury in his right ankle with Lawrence suffering a hamstring injury in the loss to Brisbane at Campbelltown Sports Stadium last Saturday night.

Half-back Tim Moltzen will undergo surgery tomorrow after suffering a season ending knee injury.

Forward Matt Bell sustained a tendon injury to his right hand in training in the lead up to the Broncos game. He is undergoing surgery this week and is expected to be sidelined for 6-8 weeks.

On a positive note, winger Marika Koroibete has overcome a foot injury and is available for selection for Friday night’s game against the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.

Injury update

Benji Marshall (foot), Rd 9

David Nofoaluma (knee), Rd 9

Braith Anasta (groin), Rd 12

Blake Ayshford (ankle), Rd 14

Chris Lawrence (hamstring), Rd 14

Matt Bell (hand), Rd 15

James Gavet (knee), indefinite

Keith Galloway (pec), indefinite

Matt Bell (finger), indefinite

Lote Tuqiri (arm), indefinite

Tim Moltzen (knee), season

Wow, what a horrible, long looking list that is. Will be good to get Marika back at least and Benji would be an outside chance you'd think. However I think given the injury crisis, he's not worth the risk really. Too much quality missing as it is.

well Id say Moltzen has played his last ever game in Tigers Colours good luck to where he goes next year

I was thinking that when it happened. By the look of the expression on his face during and on the bench, he too was coming to grips with it. Feel sorry for the bloke tbh. Was on the fence with him over the past few years, but no one deserves this bad luck.

From here our season may just descend into a highly unsettling spectacle akin to watching The Human Centipede 2 in 3D

so he is obviously not going the LARS option which thought he may have gone with.

looking at the list interesting to see nofoalamu in the NRL injured list now compared to before where he was in NYC could be a promotion

alos interesting to see the whole backline sheens would have used if available all at the same time if fit there with

1\. Moltzen
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Korobiete
6\. Marshall
7\. Anasta

What worries me is that the next numbers in that sequence are Farah & Woods

i think moltzens career is over , or he will be that match payment player for another club to many youngsters coming through for him to compete with dodgy knee

i dont think so..i think the club will re-sign him but his value has all of a sudden dropped. he may now only be a $150000 signing.. dont forget the guy is still young. if we took the attitude that he is done for Benji would be gone 3 times over

Quite possibly the worst and most pointless movie of all time.

With Koroibete back and Lawrence out, I actually think our backline has immediately improved.

The issue is now the second wing spot. I assume Simona will take one spot and maybe Reddy the other, with Utai on the wing. My issue is Utai should never be playing on the wing as he is a liability defensively.

With so many players out, there doesn't seem to be many other options, however. I doubt Potter will pick Big T and based on his efforts in the trial I am not sure he is ready, either.

So I expect to see:

1\. Tedesco
2\. Koroibete
3\. Simona
4\. Reddy
5\. Utai
6\. Sironen
7\. Miller/Brooks

I think we will play Fulton at half and Thompson in the centres (even though Hodges ran rings around him)

1\. Tedesco
2\. Reddy
3\. Simona
4\. Thompson
5\. Koroibete
6\. Sironen
7\. Fulton

It is only for one game and then hopefully Benji shall return.

God I hope not. Even with so many injuries we should not be picking players out of position.

This is what the Tigers needed, we need new centres as our two centres are no were near as good as other centres in the game. Lawrence is not as fast as he was 3 years ago and Ayshford hasn't been in form for a very long time.

This is the third time Lawrence has injured his hamstring and i think Lawrence future in NRL is not getting better as form for him keeps going down each game. Ayshford is a strong player but is to slow for a centre, we can bring a much quicker centre into the team which may will do a better job than what Ayshford is doing at the moment, maybe Ayshford should go to NSW Cup for a while an notice that I've got to work harder to get my place in the Tigers team.
