Ins and Outs

We have signed a number of 'big name players' e.g. Hill, McCracken, Hapoate, O'Harra, Settler, Ellis, Payton, Taquiri, Blair, Prince but unfortunately except Ellis, Payton, Prince and in some extent Blair that wasn't money well spent. :frowning:
There are a number of clubs that signed marquee players e.g. Parramatta, Titans
etc. but in nearly every case that was a waste of money (e.g. Sandow, Idris ).
On the other Storm never signed any marquee player.

Yep. I just don't see why we need to sign big name players. It is a massive hit and miss.

Rabbits - Greg Inglis

Roosters - SBW, Jennings, Maloney

Warriors - Sheck will tear it up

Dogs - Bmoz, Graham

Panthers - Soward

Saints - Widdop/Benji

List goes on

Honestly I see that as so few marquee signings. I think Souths and the Roosters do it. I wouldn't call any of the others marquee signings excluding Sheck. I wouldn't even call Maloney a marquee signing.

Still we got him and we got Blair. I am not having a go at Taylor or the club for our signings record. I think if we keep and sign the right players we can have an extremely competitive team.

Anyway back on topic. I don't care if it is the NRL or wherever. I still don't see the issue. Not many clubs sign marquee signings and have massive success through that. The Roosters and Souths are the exception and I guess it comes down to money under the table.
