STAR Eels duo Feleti Mateo and Krisnan Inu will leave Parramatta at the end of this year after agreeing to terms with the New Zealand Warriors.

The pair broke news of their decision to team mates and coach Daniel Anderson at Eels training earlier today.

The Warriors have been chasing both players for several months are believed to have offered Mateo a whopping $350,000-a-season to switch clubs. Parramatta wanted to keep the talented utility, but simply did not have the space under their cap to match the Kiwi’s offer.

Inu – who debuted for New Zealand in 2007 - was always tipped to leave Parramatta after his indifferent form during the past two seasons.

I like mateo's crazy offload style, probably doesn't fit our style of play though.

great buy for the warriors. might be formidable opponents next year

mateo is a very inconsistent player. if the eels are going forward, he's one of their best. in a struggling team, he does sfa

he's never the best in a beaten team.

glad we didnt throw $350k at him.

Excellent signings for the Warriors.

Should I assume you mean they were not "excellent signings" for Wests Tigers? While they can both be brilliant for a short period, we have young players, who are better over the long term and, particularly, when the team is under pressure.

good signings, i wish we were in talks with mateo, he would give our back row some diversity

Another back rower is just what the Tigers need! Maybe Tim could turn him into the BIG, STRONG, HARD-RUNNING PROP, who is missing from our 17 every week.

Great news for the warriors. The potential of mateo combining with maloney and seymour is very promising for them.

Relief…. While both of these guys have the talent in attack. I bleieve that they wouldnt have suited the tigers.

What we still need are the workers up front to compliment our backline flair (and rob lui to fire up).

Good signings they will fit in well at the Warriors both hot and cold mostly cold that go missing when needed and have 0 ticker.

mateo would of suited the tigers down to a T, we need a back rower like him

my wife is wrapped! I married a warrior!

She has always liked the craziness in certain warriors players…......2 more join the club!

Those 2 will fit right into a side that can trouble anyone on their day.
