Iosefa target for Farah back-up

I think the issue is defensive work rate We lose so much in this area when Robbie doesn't play

To be honest if we were injury free in the forwards I think Sheens would give Politoni a run as we would have Rhino and Ellis back defensively which adds a lot of starch defensively

I don't think the issue is scoring points against the Warriors , we can do that easy enough Its restricting the Warriors to under 16 points which will be the problem

If we do that I think we can win

Bell does the same job as Rhino Happy, more effectively too.

Sorry CB not suggesting he should be starting at 13 , but Sheens needs to have full confidence that the players around him can do the job I can't see BMM or Groat coming off the bench and making 30 plus tackles if required , whereas Rhino and Fulton can

Sauce and Woodsy have pretty impressive workrates in defence, as does Bell. Fulton & Blair are more or less 80 min players. Groat is a committed defender as well. Moors is the only player that doesn't have a big work rate in defence, usually as he plays limited minutes and runs the ball quite often.

If Sheens played every player in their best suited positions we wouldn't leak points like we do. It's got nothing to do with the defensive starch of our forward pack. We're leaking points out wide more than anything.

Cb ,I'm not overly worried about most of our forwards work rates , I'm more worried about what we lose when Farah isn't playing

If Politoni's selected and he can't manage Robbie's defensive work rate someone else has to pick up the slack The point I'm making is that I'm worried when we got to the bench that Groat and BMM are going to have to do more work than is usually expected of them without Farah

And its not if the Warriors aren't going to test us up front Sure they are similiar to us in attack , but if they can beat us up in the forwards they will and if we give them easy field position Maloney , Johnson and their outside men will have a field day

I'm of the opinion Farah's defensive workrate is artificially inflated as teams try to send as much traffic as they can in order to stunt his attack.

And you don't think that they will target Politoni if he plays CB

Most likely, but he'd be looked after in any case. Where would we find the stats comparing average tackles per game for all the regular hookers? I'm certain most hookers don't defend as much as Farah does.

Probably right CB Friend obviously does Most I would suspect be mid to high twenties to early thirties in tackle counts

But then again not many play 80 monutes either so it is hard to judge

And that comes back to the fact that someone will have to lift their work rate to protect him and with someone like Ellis out its not certain we can do that. Also is it worth spending the time to protect him? is his attack so much better than someone like Fulton that we are willing to make our forwards work even harder just to protect him?

And who's to say he won't step up and look after himself? What happens if Benji hits his straps and attention turns away from Politoni? Who's to say it won't happen for Humble/Fulton/whomever is selected to play there? Fulton is a great defender, but offers little in the way of attack from hooker.

Well, it's so much later today now that it's nearly tomorrow - so what's the go? A load of rubbish, me thinks.
