Is Braith really going to be captain??

I fear for us if this is the case the next 6 weeks. No doubt he is a good leader and a experienced head. However last night Farah and Austin were the gyys causing the head aches. Throw in Teddy being out. The only way we are going to win a game during the next 6 weeks is to try and find different avanues of attack. Austin provides a spark and a direct threat to the line with his step and speed. He and Brooks could create a great combination to take pressure off the 9.

I might be being way too negative about Braith, however i really don't want him to become a focal point of the attack being captain. He doesn't have any pace, not much creativity, only a decent kicking game. He also doesn't like to run the ball.

Im just worried Potter is going to make him captain and we are going to go backwards as he becomes a focal point.

No problem with Braith as Captain. He is our most experienced and is in the middle of the field most of the time.

Let Woods concentrate on making meters.

No problem here either. The added responsibility will not affect his game whereas it could be detrimental to others.

I also think he would have been straight back into the side this week, and especially so now that Robbie is out. I cannot see Potter not wanting his experience to lead and provide balance to our youthful side.

the reason i pick fulton is somewhat personal than anything else.

he has given his heart and soul to this club- he deserves to lead the team out.

anasta, blair and patty would probably do the same job as fulton- but imo they dont deserve it as much as him.

If we are choosing the captain just for the purpose of rallying the troops and morale then go with Fulton.

But IMO Braith is the best choice overall as I think captains from spine work better. He has been mentoring brooks for a while now, needs to be talking and helping guide the team around and has to step up for the next 6 weeks.

that being said I hope Austin stays in the side possibly at hooker.

For me it's a no brainer that Anasta should be captain in Farah's absence - he's been there before and he has done the job well. His captaining of the Roosters in their 2010 finals campaign was one of the most inspiring performances I'd ever seen from a team leader.
