Is Humpty out of his depth?

What is happening tonight and in the past few weeks is nothing short of a disgrace. The lack of communication, the confusion, players speaking out against the club, its just totally unprofessional. This would not happen at a strong club with a strong leader.

THis man should probably be sacked immediately. Even before Sheens. This is a total shambles at the moment.

Hell yes, we are constantly being pinged for cap breaches, our cap situation is on show for all to see when we release players mid contract, loyal players like Beau only being given a contract once they get fed up and look elsewhere is the final straw.

We are not being professional as a footy club.

Great post Eddie… I was about to mention the same thing.. What seems to becoming increasingly apparent is the Humpty needs to go maybe even more so then Sheens, But definetly both...

At the end of the day , the PR and all this nonsense with beau and Rhino seems to be Humptys control...

It feels like we are screwed both ways now - Not only on the field ( coach) but also off the field with management.. I don't want to be so dramatic, But right now we really do seem a basket case and I'm a combination of angry and sad because my beloved club seems to be imploding

Please tell me Robbie is ok and will stay a Tiger.. This is my next worry with the current circus.

Anyone who takes on the role while the club is in the current position it's in inherits a poisioned chalice. It's a shame really, as Humphreys really looked like he was going to build on Noyce's legacy and instead has overseen a massive capitulation. Do I blame the performances on him? No. But the membership debacles at the beginning of the season, vetoing of Mason, unwillingness to show a bit of testicular fortitude and make the hard call to punt Sheens have a lot left to be desired.

He even extended sheens offer from 2013 to 2014 during renegotiating. Humphrey and Sheens both need to go…

I'm going to disagree guys. From everything I've seen, humpty has been doing a great job. Beau specifically mentioned him a couple of times in the interview.

A good CEO hands trusts his staff in certain areas and maybe those staff have let him down.

Reading between the lines, I think sheens is the problem. Humpty is trying to fix it by getting rid of him, but they probably don't have the cash.

The main error from humpty was giving sheens a 3 year deal with assurances. But, at the time, we were the only team to have placed in the top 4, 2 years running.

After reading you'd last paragraph how can you say he's doing a great job.

It was a bit error. But in his defense, No one foresaw this team capitulating as bad as it did this year. That's why everyone is so angry and upset.

I don't know what went on in the negotiations and sheens was in a strong negotiating position at that point. plus, it's just not humphreys making that decision, it's the board

The way beau defended him, I don't think humphreys is to blame.

The buck stops with Humpty. My message to Humpty - sort this out. This should not be played out publicly. He has lost control. FIX IT.

Well said Tommy. Either fix it or leave. Would love to see someone like Todd Greenberg take control of the rabble our club has become.

I am willing to see where we finish out of all of this.

One thing that all of this has proven is that the much vaunted culture of the club stinks beyond belief. I have never heard footballer cry and sook like ours have over recruitment and retention decisions like our club has

Exactly. Didn't see the Dogs carry on like this in recent years when their joint was cleaned out. And now they sit one win from the GF

A 3 year contract for a coach whose team finished =2nd the year before is really not unreasonable. Some joints sign their coaches up for 5 years.

This is what i'm getting a picture of too. So many people have saId good things about Humphreys this week. The key indicator came from Beau who had nothing but good things to say about Humphreys. Even said he felt sorry for him. I got the impression that Humphreys believed Beau had been looked after and that someone with similar authority in the contractual area, most likely Sheens may've done the dirty on Beau, and Chris for that matter. It appears opinions were different between ceo and other key decision makers.

i need some real info before i judge this whole mess.

if sheens ends up at the warriors and we have not had to pay 1 more cent to sheens, then that comes into consideration.

i don't give a crap about how we look in the media right now.
i just care about the end result.

Based on the contracts Humphreys must go.

As our performance for the year I think we're being whingers

11-12 is unsatisfactory but anything less than 50/50 is always unsatisfactory but over half the teams - 8 of them make the finals every year and the other 8 don't we can't be expected to do it every year.

The 8 is irrelevant even with the new system anyway as only the top 4 will win it.
