Is it Time for the Magpies to take over?

As a Magpie who has supported his team since 1974 merging was seen to me as death. I have never been a supporter of it even in 2005 since I believe like Norths both sides should have been in the comp as they were all along - on their own. To see Norths screwed over by Manly and Wests and Balmain screwed over by the league makes me sick. The people we should be hating are those that never had a vision for the game and believed that Sydney was the end and be all. The game is run by imbeciles who care nothing for the game.

Are you serious? Good lord as soon as the club starts to rock the old issue always pops it head up.

Bugger the Magpies and Tigers. This JV is never going to work. Fold the damn club.

Apologies but your post and headline appear to have no similarities.

Much like the history of Wests Tigers. Wests Ashfield are the ones keeping the club back and they own the place. Balmain are gone but WA are too scared to take over.

Check your history.
Magpies were extinct. Balmain was alive but took Magpies on in the JV under one condition. Fund it.

Magpies should be thankful they even have a team to cheer. Without the partnership the Tigers would have survived. Not so for the Magpies.
Rest is history and will remain that. Both Balmain and Magpies are dead.
You got wests in the name. Be thankful.

We barely survived a few times…. I would fight tooth and nail to make sure those with Balmain loyalties wouldnt have to go through it themselves.

Pull your head in TJL.

Without WA taking ownership the club can only fail - FFS they are ignoring the biggest league growth area in the country. What does the league want it to be aerial ping pong or wog ball in Campbelltown?

I keep hearing biggest growth area, but it just never seems to show in crowd numbers. Is it disposable income? I'm not sure what the problem is, but there has been a lot of focus, with not much result.

The owners now are Ashfield. If we are talking proximity to our home club, that's ANZ.
