Is Jacob Miller our half back for 2013

Didn't someone post on here earlier in the year saying that Sheens had a problem with Miller's ego?? (Pot calling the kettle black).
Maybe Tim feels that the biggest ego in the club should be his own? Then again he did put up with Ricky Stuart at the Raiders for years and ego's don't come much bigger than Sticky's!

From memory the post was more about the general perception about Miller, not just Sheens.

I think miller needs a year in the NSW cup playing against men before he's given a shot at FG. People forget/don't realise that this is exactly what Ben Barba did after graduating from TC. Look where he's at now!

I rate Miller above Sirro, obviously Sirro has looked more comfortable in the NRL over Miller but he has also had more chances than miller.
But with Sheens in the joint we know he'll play Anasta with Benji. I don't have an issue with this, but I think Miller deserves a fair go.

Yeah I tend to agree and even if he looks the goods after 10 games in the NRL I'd be happy to see him promoted. For a halfback the step up from NYC to NRL is huge.

It's hard to predict how he might go in the top squad but it's bleedingly obvious to judge how he goes in Toyota Cup. As someone who has seen him 20 times this year in TC, I find him a bit of a non-event as a halfback. In fact, I think the attack is often stifled when he gets the ball. He is TOO MUCH like a Benji…..hangs onto it, darts around, tries for the incredible play and ends up doing stupid things. I know he is captain, but he needs t think more of his supports than he does of himself. To be honest, when I heard he was going to Saints I wasn't a bit disappointed. I may well be proven wrong, but when coming up with all the possible combiantions of 6/7/13 for 2012, I didn't factor Jacob Miller into any of mine.

I respect the opinion of someone who has seen Miller play 20 games this year…but he cant be that bad they made the semis with him!

Miller had a pretty ordinary season and still was one of the best halfbacks in the twenties. Last year and the year before he was the best. He is an NRL player, there is no doubt. He is a running five-eighth though.

Alexaki, they would have finished higher in the 20s with a better organiser, schemer, creative 7 than Jacob Miller.

He's played 5 first grade games. Sironen hasn't played much more and **I rate Miller over Sironen**.

Really?????? Wow, I certainly don't. Sirro has proven he is up to NRL standard IMO, Miller hasn't.
IMO Sirro will be a very much better player than Miller in the years to come. Time will tell I suppose

All I've seen from sironen so far is his name on the team sheet on tuesday. I have a feeling he's Mitchell Pearce v2.0

but we'll see.

Sirro was solid in his few games this year IMO. Our season definately took a turn for the worst after his injury, we had no threat in attack at 5/8 after he wasn't there. Runs straight and hard whereas Miller is more of a crab (ala Benji). I would be willing to bet the house that Sirro will be more of an NRL success than Miller

The overriding memory of Miller to me was that he was absolutely cut out of the game plan. He was only given the ball when benji had run out of room and was forced to take the tackle.

He did go looking for it and got to a few loose balls.

I can't wait to see what happens with both of them though!

Both games I remember that Miller played he looked like he really wanted to have a go but as you say Sataris, he was just overcalled on every play. When he did get the ball it was as a last option which put him under heaps of pressure.
