Is Miller Ready?

This may be a little premature but IF we need to look at a new starting NRL half back next season who would it be?

I'm a Miller fan - he is a natural half back, has loads of confidence and can kick goals but is he ready?

I've heard he had an average back end to the season, but perhaps this is because he could see Lui improving and cementing his halves pairing with Marshall. I was told Miller left the Roosters in the first place because they signed Carney, so he obviously has ambitions. Can he step up this soon?

Or… dare I say it, Scott Prince anyone?

I have a feeling he is going to have to be ready. How old is the kid? Cherry-Evans and Foran haven't had any trouble stepping up for Manly. You know what they say, he's old enough if he is good enough.

I don't think Miller or Siro will be ready next year. I would leave them both in the Under 20s next year.

I would sign Scott Prince for 2 years if he wanted to come back, and if he could get out of his Gold Coast contract, and after those 2 years Miller would be ready.

We should have kept Moltzen and hired Andrew Johns to help him.

Lui may end up staying, this isn't out of the realms of possibility.

That said, if he does go, what options are there? Miller is the obvious one however whether he is ready for NRL yet is a big question. He didn't show a lot in the later part of this season, having said that, neither did the team so it's not easy for a half in those circumstances. Like Lui he has to work on his defence to get it to NRL standard as we know how halves are targetted. Getting Miller would be a good coaching challenge and a rewarding one if successful. Mortimer has been mentioned elsewhere, I haven't seen him play this year, is he going any good? He hasn't been recalled to parra so one would assume his form hasn't picked up or he has had a falling out with someone at the club? Would he cost to much for our salary cap? Does anyone know much about his current situation?
