Is Miller Ready?

If Lui is found guilty and the ramifications are he goes i would think chasing Luke Burt to cover HB until Miller is ready wouldn't be a bad option.

IMO Miller is like Siro 2-3 year away from being a 1st grader

Where are we going to find a NRL standard no7 now????Theirs none out their, my guess Miller would be one option but Sheens may throw Benji back at no7 as he plays the role on and off through games and put Lawrence into 6 or maybe Humble. Of course their always Mortimer who wants to play FGrade but is on the outer at the EEls, he is Sheens type of player (good work ethic)

Agree with that Miller is not ready for NRL….doesn't mean he doesn't have potential he does but just like the other young guns he needs more time.

I completely forgot about Humble. He may also be an alternative.

Anyway I think people fail to realise that Miller will not be a decision maker from the outset. He'll play a backseat role while he comes into line with the team dynamic (much like Lui,) and when he's adjusted he will take on a senior playmaking role. At the moment he'd be a suitable organising half to counter Benji's organised chaos running game.

Mortimer is a terrible idea to be honest.
Miller would be a better option than him.

With Reddy signed now Lawrence at 6 isn't the worst idea out there
Not big on the Mortimer idea
Ben Roberts signed with any one yet ??

Depending on the Lui situation, Miller could very well become the number 1 half at WT next season. He trained fulltime with the squad last off-season and will do so again this year. I have not seen Tom Humble play so I can't comment on his ability to to play in the halves, but given Sheens used Miller for 3-4 games this year, it makes sense that he may get a lot more gametime next season.

Thanks guys thought I had seen something but couldn't remember
I won't bring up Berrigan for a season then until Miller ready

Purely just a thought? Orford, would be playing for chips after his performance this year and I believe is being released.

No–he could pay us and I would not have him, as for Humble have not seen a lot of him but a friend reckons he is the Benji marshall of the reserve comp--the standout player, a class above the rest

that is a fair call, he is close to the best NSW cup player.

Luke Burt for Halfback.Where do people get opinions like that one ?
Parra have struggled big time for a halfback and have used him there once maybe twice as a fill in and you would sign him as our first pick halfback.O well it is the silly season i suppose lol.

Tom Humble?

Sterlo wraps him as a future 7, this is from 2010:

"PETER STERLING believes the answer to Parramatta's halves crisis could be staring them in the face.

''I'm a big fan of young Tom Humble,'' Sterling said of the Wentworthville Magpies utility.

''I believe he's a player of the future who can go to the line

Imo miller is not ready for the Nrl, nor is young Sirro both need another full season in th 20s. They both were poor in the last 20s game and there decision making needs work, both will make the grade but they need more time.

I'm not sure if Brad Fittler goes around helping develop halves like Matty Johns does, but I know he has a very big opinion of Miller and asking him to help develop him into a halfback may be an avenue worth exploring?

I agree. This season when he was used I don't think he was given a proper go. I know there would have been reasons for playing him in the manner he was, but I think it puts extra pressure on players when they aren't allowed to play their position properly.
