McQueen will be here because he needs the money. I don't think he adds a lot to the team though.

Ok McQueen will be here in a neck brace minimum. Will it be the same McQueen who got Souths to the finals and is very underrated (I rate him before the spine injury)? I don't think so.

If we loose McQueen and Taylor (assuming Woods goes to the dogs). Unless our new guns really shine then I think our forward pack will be in trouble.
 
I'll say that whilst ET isn't a legit hooker, his distribution in the last 20 mins yesterday was better than MMc or JLJ, nice passes out in front of the halves to run on to.

Brooks spent most of the first half leaping and reaching for passes, and that went away in the last 20\. In fact I didn't quite realise JLJ had been hooked until I noticed the quality of the service, then realised it was ET running around at DH.

Timing is so critical these days that service from the dummy half is of paramount importance. Making the 1st receiver stop or reach back for even half a second can kill the play that was unfolding.

I didn't realise ET was in dummy half either! Too excited I guess, or no bad passes to notice?

Excluding Woods, Taylor is our next best forward by a mile. Those rookies are nothing on him. His level of play in attack and defense is superior, not to mention his enthusiasm, passing, energy, tackling…all light years ahead of Twal, Eisenhuth etc..

I'm shaking my head in incredulity. The only thing redundant about Taylor is this thread.
 
TAYLOR TACKLES EVERYTHING AND CAN CONTROL THE RUCK BETTER THAN ANYONE IN THE SIDE BY 200%.PERFECT BACK UP HOOKER TOO

Taylor > Woods and it's not close. ET can play in the middle, on the edge and he does a great job at hooker every so often. His defence is awesome. He can ball play.

His basic hit-up metres aren't great but he is a special player.
 
I think yesterday was a good indication of how we should use him next year. Run with one hooker with ET plugging gaps and providing a 20min breather for Liddle if needed.

He just needs to stop looking at the halves and shrugging his shoulders every time he runs into dummy half like he has no idea what to do lol

Are you joking, did you have your eyes closed during the game yesterday the amount of tackling he did was unbelievable and he put most of them on their back and kept them down.
I'll send you a copy of yesterdays game if you would like to analyse the work that ET did.

I think gatorman is a warriors supporter and he wants ET over the ditch.
 
Did anyone not notice the ball Taylor shot from dummy half on that last try against Manly? he just resolved the problem of carrying two hookers next year for Cleary..with Marshall sitting on the bench as a utility player..lets say, liddle and Renyolds go down injured we lose nothing in the heat of the moment with options like that in your line up.. he's a valuable asset IMO.

I worry though that Taylor will have too much work to do. If he is gassed will he provide the service that he did against Manly. I also don't think he is going to make a bust out of dummy half.

Still he is a special player in so many ways.

I would consider starting with Twai and leaving Taylor on the bench for the first 20 min this week to resolve the problem you are referring too…Taylor and Sue to come on after 20 min resting dummy half and the most tired forward .. a fresh taylor and Sue would keep the defence solid and add some dynamics in attack..it solves carrying littlejohn and makes way for another forward on the bench.
 
I think the question should be whether Lawrence is required. Far too injury prone nowadays imo. Taylor is out on his feet each and every game he really puts in.

Mate you need a job as assistant coach. Perfect way of eliminating JLJ. Not because he isn't FG standard (even though he isn't) but moreso because I find a dummy on the bench a waste of space.
