I know i have picked the Titans to win in an upset today , but if the Knights win is the top 8 already decided There will be a 4 point gap between 8th and 9th with only 5 rounds left Can you see anyone coming from the clouds to make it

Depends on the run home. Bulldogs and Pamfers could win the next 5 games and if the Knights or ourselves lose the next three that puts them ahead of us on the ladder and blows the whole race open again.

Reason I have written Pamfers off is they have Storm ,Us ,Raiders ,Warriors and Dragons the last 5 weeks OUCH It is possible but if they do it WOW The Dogs will need 5 byes to make the top 8 Bogan

Panthers have a tougher run home than the Dogs.

Penrith Panthers run home: Storm (A), Wests Tigers (H), Warriors (H), Raiders (A) and Dragons (A).
opposed to the Doggies run home: Cowboys (H), Sharks (A), Sea Eagles (A), Knights (H) and Raiders (H).

The only team I can see the Panthers beating out of their run home are the Raiders. All 5 teams are looking good right now so I don't see Penrith progressing to finals football.

If the Doggies have any hopes of staying alive they need to win 4 out of 5 of their games, or possibly even all 5 (which may not even be enough) Knights don't have all too difficult a run home.

Titans (H), Raiders (H), Warriors (A), Broncos (H), Bulldogs (A) and Rabbitohs (H).
Knights should beat the Titans, Raiders and Rabbitohs.

The key is they need to pray the Knights have a shocker in one of those three games and only win two of their last games.

Can't see the Dogs or Panthers getting there unless the Knights have an absolute shocker.

I dunno, Happy, still to close to call I reckon. Even though there is a 4 point gap between 8 & 9, there is always that final push, by some teams, for the last couple of spots every year. Still 10 points on offer if a team wants to step up, and I have a feeling that Penrith are a smokey.

The top 8 will stay with the same teams. The top 5 is clear cut…. We are playing for 6th and we need to finish 6th... I think tigers are a massive chance at winning it from 6th spot! Wouldn't be as confident from 7th or 8th...

Did you see their run home Flip ?? Not pretty Suppose I wrote Bunnies off too early as well they are on 20 points now also

i think it is finalised now i think the only thing that will change is the positions in the top 8 i dont think any side outside the 8 now can break into it

I hadn't seen it, but have now. Yeah it's pretty tough, but as you know, in this game anything is possible lol.
They can really fire when they put their minds to it, as can the Bunnies :astonished: That said, Penrith really should've put the Cowboys away last night. Manly and Saints are looking vulnerable at the wrong end of the season - would be nice to see the Drags slip a spot or two down the ladder over the next few weeks 😛ray:

4 points, but when it gets close at the end of the year for and against is key.

Currently Panthers are 37 points behind us, the Dogs 85 points and Souths (who are now equal with Panthers & Dogs) a whopping 101 points in arrears.

I confidently call it, the 8 is decided, but the make up is still interesting. Cowboys luck has to run out without their best player, Dragons slipping, Manly didn't play very against us. The most dangerous team in the comp, I think, are the Warriors. Interesting comp this year.

What about the round 23 clashes Warrior (6) v Knights (7) ,Tigers (8) v Penrith (9) That could be the defining games in the top 8 make up

If we beat the Panthers then and the Knights beat the Warriors, you'd think that would probably finish Penrith off. Other than the Panthers I can't see anyone else getting into the 8, unless Souffs start…..nah I'm kidding they're no hope.

look, after the last few weeks of games, whats to say we cant win all of the last games? Honestly.

IF we beat the dragons - i'm going to make the call that we can win the last 4 as well - That would put us at 8 straight into the finals, and my predictor on NRL.com would have us coming in 5th on 34 points.

If some results go our way, and some of the bottom placed teams cause a nuisance to the higher teams, and we stay true to form we could seriously luck our way into 4th place.

I don't know about you blokes, but i'm tipping the tigers this week.

My confidence is growing, A win this week will se ust streak to 4 in a row. We were lucky to get 2 in a row earlier in the year.

Fair to say IMO that one of these teams threatens the Tigers spot mathematically

**8th Wests Tigers 24**

9th Panthers 20 - (Vs Melb Away this week)
10th Bulldogs 20 - (Vs Cowboys @ Home this week)
11th Rabbitohs 20 - (Vs Eels @ Home this week)

and these teams are Gone

12th Sharks 18
13th Roosters 16
14th Raiders 16
15th Eels 15
16th Titans 12
