Is this Millers last chance?

Maybe miller will go well since he has already played with sirro a few times in the under 20's last year

It's a fair question regarding Miller's long term prospects here. Obviously in the short term, being this week, he's got the gig and Potter would be praying that Miller shows him something different this week. He doesn't have to set the world on fire. He just needs to improve on the areas Potter wasn't happy with. In the long run, Miller's window is fast closing. No doubt Luke Brooks has begun his fast tracking to first grade by being named in state cup this week. However, like Miller, Brooks will need to grow as a player first. I would suggest Miller needs to show something this week with Benji back shortly. Braith is only a few weeks away too.

It's quite a challenge for Miller and I just don't know weather he's got it in him. Hope he proves me wrong.

This is the reason why I was happy for Miller to get the call up this week. He has played with Sirro before, and will be the dominant halves partner without Marshall there and as such, Farah will have to place more faith in him.

I know every time he runs out there it's an opportunity, but this time it's really his to stand up and show what he can do. If he flunks this time, it's safe to say we may not see him in FG again.

Yet still no ones asking the same questions of Sirro?
Why does he seem to have a mortgage on a 1st grade spot, and Miller doesnt?
I think we all know the answer to that.

I hazard a guess that Sirro will go back to NSW cup once Marshall/Anasta return Ink, I don't think he has a mortgage on a first grade position at this point. Stopgap solution for injuries.

But we'll likely see him in FG again yeh?
Unlike Miller

Whats the difference?

For starters Ink, I'm only speculating based on what Potter has done with Miller so far this year, what I theorise here and what will eventuate may well end up two entirely different situations.

On Sirro, I don't think his future lays at 5/8 in FG as he's not shown much there. He could well become a promising lock if he is given time in NSW Cup to develop. At this point in time I don't believe he shouldn't be anywhere near the FG side as we have better cattle available to us at full strength. Will he get another run in FG? Probably. Will it be for the reasons you imply? Maybe so.

Miller IMO doesn't have that same luxury when we've got Marshall, Anasta and now young Brooks looking to ramp up a bid to get a run in FG. He shouldn't have been dropped in the first place though… It's hard to shine as a rookie halfback when your outside backs are down on pace and form and the team is riddled with injuries.

Actually agree that our best halves pairing is Marshall and Anasta ,wonder if we will see Sirro on the bench for the NRL side

yes , marshall and anasta will be 6 and 7 when both fit , potter will do exactly what sheens was going to do and play anasta at half , i think it will be great and i know people keep saying anasta is not a half , but he will be better there than what he has been doing

Unless Miller kills it I think he is gone from our NRL team, so yes, it may well be his last chance - here at least.

If he doesn't (and to be honest I can't see Robbie allowing Miller to run anything), once Benji comes back he will be gone anyway, with Benji likely to go to #7 and Sirro staying at 6? Because I agree Ink, Sirro is great at looking the goods without actually producing anything special.

Miller will go ok as long as farah let's him play and actually gives him the ball, not just to kick !!!! Kids got skill just needs to aloud to use it. Farah doesn't need to play 6,9 & 7

Well Farah shouldn't need to Claw, and I am of the same opinion but let's face it, if he didn't get wide of the ruck last week for Utai's try we had nothing… and it is hard to see where much ball playing will come from with Sirro at #6 as he's a running type 6.

Who's Miller's dad? lol…
Surely he'll relish this opportunity and prove a few people wrong.
If not, just shows how uninterested he is.

Anyways, I expect Benji to play.

Everyone seems to be concerned about Jacob's ability to control the team and make an impression in attack. I think he will probably do OK (although he is a bit predictable and doesn't have the speed off the mark to really threaten defensive lines).

I am much more concerned about his defence. His defence on the edge of the ruck was ordinary and teams quite rightly targeted him. He was running out of the line and leaving a staggered defensive line. He will need to fix that up. I can see T-REX finding some form against us by targeting Miller - I think this is going to end in tears for fans and Jacob

On the NRL offical website they have Benji as fit for the dogs game, so if that is the case that will be curtains for Miller
